ParticipantMost kind, thank you Captain Howdy.
Â
At the moment, I am working on a scene from the novel…. Karras and the demon's second meeting, where he sets up the tape recorder.Â

ParticipantI remember many years ago, as a kid, I used to watch the opening of ABC Sports (back in the early 70's…I've never been a sports fan at all…but the show did have some interesting opening shots in its title sequence) and one shot they'd shown was that of a gymnast who managed to bring her feet almost all the way down to her forehead….and she was showing every bit of pain in the process.   Yeouch!!!!
Steve Dunlap
ParticipantI think it would've been more frightening if they were able to get her body to have completely arch forehead to heels the way it was in the novel.
Â
That is a project I'm going to tackle with iClone. I already did my own CG Exorcist trailer….now I'm gonna try to tackle some scenes as portrayed in the novel, the way Sofia is doing with The Sims. 🙂
Steve Dunlap
ParticipantAye, I did. :)Â And Fear of God was also on the TVYNS DVD….I'd seen the documentary on that DVD, but it had been so long, I couldn't remember all that was discussed. 🙂

ParticipantNow I'm officially PISSED OFF!
Â
Hours of work into building Regan's bedroom…..up in a flash!  The project file corrupted! Now I have to rebuild her bedroom. (I knew I shoulda saved it as a set piece as well as a project.
Oh, well. I should be able to reconstruct it quickly, and add it back onto the house set piece I downloaded. Thankfully, I saved the characters individually…so that's a good thing. 🙂
Just the inconvenience of it all.
Â
ARRGGHHHH!!!!

ParticipantI'll be happy to help your understanding of iClone where and when I can, Sofia. 🙂
Â
As for the scene you excerpted, I now have the novel….so there's actually a couple of scenes I'm going to focus on rendering….the spiderwalk scene is one….and the tape recording scene between Karras and the demon being another.
Â
I'll do the best possible render I can for those scenes. 🙂

ParticipantAhhhhh.

ParticipantWOW! I just now noticed those, Sofia. yes, I think I might be able to do something with those. :) Thank you so much.
Â
You can get the demo of iClone a couple of ways:
Â
1. Buy the program Magix Movie Edit Pro 17….it comes with a demo version of iClone 4.
Or
2. I think there's a link where you can directly download the demo…hang on…here we go…

ParticipantWell, I found a good straight on face shot of Shirley….so making Chris in her image ought not be difficult.
Sachi is much more difficult. I could not find any straight on face shots of her at the right age.
Â
Interesting note of trivia:Â Apparently the image on the 70's novelization of The Exorcist is actually a distorted image of Sachi MacLaine
November 20, 2010 at 4:39 PM in reply to: Linda Blair seemed to have hurt herself during this shot… #23923Steve Dunlap
ParticipantI don't know if I could ever see myself as a vegan (I am a straight up carnivore…LOL!) but Linda has such a wonderful way of seeming to just take things in stride….finding the good out of the bad.  She seems like such a beautiful person.
November 20, 2010 at 4:37 PM in reply to: did the crucifix ramming scene get the movie banned someplaces? #23922Steve Dunlap
ParticipantI would not be surprised if it did get banned in some places.
Steve Dunlap
ParticipantDid you edit that yourself, Fraroc? If so, nice job.

Steve Dunlap
ParticipantAye, I remember those scenes, and the revamped opening. I kinda missed them in the DVD release.

ParticipantI, for one, loved TVYNS and EDC….but I am still a fan of the original '73 cut.
Â
I like to A/B the different versions and pick apart the differences myself.Â
