I wonder why someone doesn’t ask him if he’s circumcised or not? Afterall its a religiously relevant question. We could add him to one of those cut/uncut celebrity pages. Also we’d all like to know what kind of food he buys at the grocery store. Maybe an Exorcist fan could rummage through his garbage. Imagine all the interesting things one could find out about him that way!

I wonder what effect the movie had on the popularity of the name Regan? I know it didn’t effect the outcome of a certain presidential campaign.
I was under the impression that the name Damien was an innuendo to “Demon” and a foreshadowing of his becoming possessed himself at the end of the movie. Its interest the note about Damien of Molokai catching the disease himself: This could also be related to Damien’s possession.

On another note, are there any actual academic books on the theory of Regan being abused in some way (by the director or otherwise)? I know its not a popular theory here, but I have always found it interesting, although marginal.
I think your taking me too literally again Fatha. The links are correct, that’s just my review of them.
Fatha please, we do know what a diaper is, but most diapers are for humans. The only other species I know of that uses them is chimpanzees in captivity. But the quote is not clear. Perhaps the demon considers Regan to be its diaper? Is the phrase human diaper used in the book as opposed to adult diaper? If so that is very interesting?
The sounds at the end of that second one sound like Humpback Whale song. The first one is a screensaver, not a video!
The “Amityville house” is another good example of a house that is being “harassed” by the public. Its interesting that he noted that the windows were renovated to make it look less iconic, but he actually didn’t mention that the address of the house had actually been changed by the city to discourage harassment too!
