I don’t think it needs to be dated. Its a timeless film and doesn’t need to be pinpointed historically. Also wasn’t the novel a bit wishy-washy about the date, using the dates from a different calendar year than the one it was said to be set in?
I’m surprised you didn’t know this either Fada. Its actually what I was alluding to when I wrote “it would be apropos” above. Maybe Colombia is right about this and we’re wrong. I’m just yet to be convinced. 🙂
Hi Colombian. I don’t want to sound mean but I think your imagination is runny amok here. Don’t see the resemblence to Howdy (it would be apropos) and the Charlie Brown looks fine. Chances are you won’t get much by zooming the screen cap. The resolution isn’t adequate. Maybe when the bluray disc is out we can clear this up, but I don’t expect anything spectacular here. Thanks for the input though.

Funny you should say that fatha. Afterall the student on the left was involved. s/he was at the same school as R.E.H. at the same time and could be a witness to some of the strange going-ons. Someone should track this person down for a thorough questioning!
Hmmm. Interesting philosophical question: If the dummy used the likeness of Linda Blair does that mean that a likeness of the of the dummy is a likeness of Linda? Ie: Is a picture of the dummy then a picture of Blair?
The real-estate agent said this story did not add to the value of the house. Does that mean that Exorcist fans would not be interested in buying?
I’m not a huge expert on this area but I think it would have to do with changing the contrast and brightness properties of the film. How this was accomplished in the 1970’s I do not know.
