Video Interview: William Friedkin has never seen an Exorcist sequel (or prequel)?

William Friedkin recently sat down with UK’s Guardian ‘In The Director’s Chair’ segment to once again discuss the newly released French Connection on Blu-ray. Interviewer Jason Solomons brought up questions about The Exorcist in the second half of the interview — not so much about The Exorcist Blu-ray release, but more about the film itself and his thoughts on sequels to his original films (French Connection also had a sequel produced that he was not involved with in any way).

Interesting to hear Friedkin rip on all of the sequels and prequels of The Exorcist: “They have absolutely no interest to me whatever,” he says while grimacing in his chair. You can watch the entire video below.
