Or “Only Women Bleed” (I think by Alice Cooper) 😀

“Metal Health (Bang Your Head)” by Quiet Riot

You're right, Father. :)  I completely misread….and forgot. :)  It was Chris, not Kinderman.   Oy…I need my Wheaties. 😀

Late to the game here…sorry. 🙂

In regards to one of the first bloopers, whoops, and such…the one where Kinderman asks for a pen, and there's a bunch in front of him….I think that was deliberate.

Remember, he's laying on the schmaltz here.  :)  (Something Karras easily detected on him, in the novelization.)  He's doing the Columbo thing.  Acting simple and unassuming, to get under folks' skin (in a nice way) so that they can more easily relate to him, and perhaps in the process be more open to answering his questions.  🙂

Chris seemed more of an easy mark for this than Karras…so Kinderman laid it on, right up to the point where he leaves, asking for the autograph.  (Besides, you can see the grim, rather intimidating look on his face when he returns to the household as Karras is about  to die….the look that says: “You ain't been entirely straight with me, lady….'specially after I was soooo nice.”) 🙂

But yet the hunters still have a t.v. show. The exorcism shows are silly, the one I metion, was really silly in the end. They out a few crosses up and the family was fine. :/ It was boring.

That's true about the hunters having a tv show, but so does Jimmy Swaggert!  Laughing  (Although I know you are too young to remember that pathetic televangelist!)

Jimmy Swaggart, Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker…they give real people of faith a bad name.

Thanks. :)  Dimming the bridge and enhancing the lighting was a common suggestion among others who've seen the test video.  Think I'm gonna change the color of the step lights though, so it doesn't get too heavily compared to “The Empire Strikes Back”. 🙂

Here is a redux of the Bridge Activity shot.  I've dimmed the ambient lighting a little, and gave the monitors and scanner screens a bit more glow.   Added light effects to the steps.  Added a couple of new shots and angles.  Also dropped in some dialogue so the scene doesn't seem so sparse.   And on the character who is doing a scan of a moon, I added a slight video  screen reflection to his face….ala  ALIEN or CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE THIRD KIND.  Hope ya' like. :)  Again, just click on the link.

    Thank you.  Most kind. 🙂

I am redoing the animation now, to try and get better ambient lighting, and make the bridge look just a little more lifelike. 🙂

My apologies, my friends, for being away.   I have been lurking, but I have also been busy with a lot of music here in New Orleans.  Will try to  be more participatory asap. 🙂

Aye, the way I interpretted it was that the Ouija Board was Pazuzu's guise of child play innocence, adopting a persona with a kid-friendly name like “Captain Howdy”, and a way for him to mentally and emotionally connect with Regan….get her to lower any subconscious defenses, think of him as a play friend, and allow him more into her “life”.

Pazuzu probably played on Regan's sensitivities regarding the whole “divorced/seperated” parents issue, somehow managing to convince her (in a deceptively gentle way) that she was the one at fault for the divorce, and then switching the story to say that Burke Dennings was somehow responsible.  Given the child's impressionability, this was probably not too hard to do.

Once that happened, Pazuzu had a foothold on Regan, and she became powerless over time to prevent it.

Again, just an interpretation….certainly not the gospel. 🙂

I was actually starting on an Exorcist fanfic that would've also had a mature Regan MacNeil, bringing up her own daughter…and Pazuzu deciding to get back at Regan by possessing her daughter, forcing Regan to relive her own past experience, and perhaps confront Pazuzu himself with her own sense of faith, love for her daughter, and determination to be rid of the demon from her life once and for all. 🙂
