I think all the films deserve a special edition. There needs to be a definitive box set, not just the same old bare DVDs thrown in a badly photoshopped box. And they need to throw as much stuff on it as possible before it is all lost. They could have new documentaries made for each film (would love to see some mini ones done for the troubles behind making Legion, Dominion & ETB), with cast/crew interviews etc. Behind the scenes footage, deleted scenes, parodies (like what was on the Titanic collector’s edition – there’s MANY Exorcist ones that could be put on there) whatever can be found, basically.
What would be really cool is if they did something like Peter Jackson’s King Kong Diaries for each film. They could get the cast/crew in to talk about everything, showing all the behind the scenes footage from the archives.
OK – I know that will never happen, but one can dream.
The great thing about this film is you can always find something new in it, even after all these years.. but sorry to say this isn’t new (well, not to me – someone mentioned it on IMDB), and that scene with the kids play fighting is only in the TVYNS, so the decades thing is incorrect. 😛
Good eye though, I’m sure there’s lots people who haven’t read about this.
It was never released, but a copy did find its way onto eBay and then to a few select people 😛 The Dominion script (not the original draft) was also on eBay but it seems no one from here managed to get it.

I doubt it. I can find the ETB novel in pretty much every book store, and it is all over eBay.
Still prefer the Dominion novel over both prequels (movies) and ETB novel.
No one is saying you HAVE to. This thread is for the collectors. Or anyone who wants to watch the movie how it originally was, it’s a hard DVD to come by.
I really don’t like the colours in the 25th and TVYNS so I’ll always watch the original now that I have it.
I’d like to move the attic scene to its original spot like in the novel and see how that works out. And also add the original spiderwalk + ending.

Well I’ve uploaded the ones I could get here. Some of them are pretty known but are high quality. Hopefully tomorrow the other site with more (better) pics will work.
