ParticipantDon’t forget the novel though, doesn’t that say that they killed eachother?
Justin
ParticipantI just re-read the section in the book, and it’s the same as the movie.
Justin
ParticipantThis was on TV a while back and I recorded it.
It’s rather pathetic IMO, if you know the story already there’s not much point in seeing this. The re-enactment scenes are just as bad if not worse than Possessed. And from what I remember, Friedkin wasn’t in this, and everything Blatty (pretty sure he was interviewed in it, but I can’t remember) said you can see in Fear of God.
Justin
ParticipantI’m pretty sure you don’t own the newspaper/or whatever company that was printed in. You can’t copyright something that is already copyrighted.
Plus, I’ve had this image on my computer for ages.. I don’t remember where I save them from.
Justin
ParticipantAnd I’ve made many scans and such that have been used on other sites. Who cares? I don’t own the copyrights to the original item, so I can’t claim it to be “my work” and neither can you. All we did was scan it (and openly put it out on the internet)..
If you love The Exorcist and Blatty like you said, you wouldn’t care and be happy that you’re making a contribution to the community.

ParticipantAs I posted on IMDB, I don’t think it is possible to actually have a story/film without having the synchronizer. It takes up half the film.. Good luck though. 😛

ParticipantWasn’t it a point in the film that the world is a dominion to our own devils, not The Devil himself? Though one can’t say that the world is only a dominion of evil. And one also can’t say the film is even about the devil. Can you really believe that Satan was locked inside that crypt? It’s Pazuzu.
Now maybe we could easily just say there’s one dominion in “EXORCIST: THE BEGINNING”, but the characters are not all 1 sided in “DOMINION”. Each individual person (and even animals/objects – the church) in the film is a dominion, weather it be to their own demons, The Devil/Pazuzu, or God.
Which brings me to my point that the title isn’t referring to just one dominion, we get to know the characters and understand what they’re going through – each one a dominion to something.
While ultimately it does become a dominion of God, the title shouldn’t refer to the end, because the film isn’t one sided – there’s more too it. Same goes for the original film. Does that make sense?
Justin
ParticipantI thought if that too, but then DOMINIONS: PREQUEL TO THE EXORCIST doesn’t sound very good.
Justin
ParticipantI don’t know if it would be the best idea to do it yet, since we don’t wanna take any focus from WB putting together an ultimate edition of the original film.
Justin
ParticipantI think it should be either just DOMINION or DOMINION w/ Prequel to The Exorcist after it. I don’t like the idea of THE DOMINION because we’re not really dealing with one (*THE*) “dominion” in the film.
Justin
ParticipantHatter, I just got an idea..
What if you took the loud “MERRIIIIIN” scream from The Exorcist, edited it a bit so it doesn’t sound exact, and have Cheche scream it out when he falls to the floor and Francis runs off.
Justin
ParticipantI must be honest and say I think it ruins the scene. The effect on Cheche just looks cheesy, and the new music doesn’t blend with the other music.
It’s good editing, but it just doesn’t go well with the film.
Justin
ParticipantI doubt you can do any worse than Harlin. 😛
Justin
ParticipantI think you’ve posted that above pic like 100 times already. 😛 As for the Gab & Billy one, check the site’s image gallery, it’s in there.

ParticipantWasn’t Regan like 16 in The Heretic? If she was 14 that would have made her around 10 in The Exorcist.
