Must admit, this is a pretty great use of viral marketing:

Hmm well I haven’t heard anything about it, but it’s probably safe to assume it will be the new transfer.

It would be great if this was a worldwide thing… or at least in Australia too 😛

Looks like this movie is taking notes from Spiderman now.

Can i find the whole photoshoot online??

    I wish!

I’m not sure where the first image you posted came from. It’s the same as the one shown in the Fear of God documentary, but it was posted on the old forum (I think by GhettoExorcist or Gemini) with some other pics of Linda and Ellen in various stages of make-up.

The second photo of a bloodied Regan is from the official site (link).

hi all, does someone know where this picture comes from?? I found it on the net someday but i forgot where. I know its from the photoalbum containing the pictures of linda’s make-up tests

    Are you talking about these?

    http://img687.imageshack.us/img687/876/d004c.jpg

Which are from the ‘Fear of God’ documentary.

oh…it looks like you need to rightclick the button and open it in a new wondow to see it.
I cant put pictures in my posts?

To post your pics on this forum: upload your image to http://imageshack.us, copy the ‘Direct Link’ it generates, and then when posting it here click the ‘img’ button and paste the link into the pop up window.

Shout out to Justin: What are your settings; i.e., your original image size and how many pixels doe ImageShack offer? I can only link a “NEW” 600 pixel picture, but it sucks.

As long as the image is under 5mb then it can be any dimensions. For example, this is one the largest pictures I have (4486px x 3015px) and can be uploaded at full size as its only 2mb.

Running times for the special features:

    “Filming Exorcist” documentary (40 min)
    “Exorcist Locations” (10 min)
    “Exorcist: Different Versions” (10 min)
“Fear of God” documentary (77 min)
    Interview Gallery (12 min)
    Dir.Cut + Theatrical Cut Trailers/Spots (10 min)

I’m a little disappointed that the “Different Versions” only goes for 10 mins.
That means there probably won’t be much outtake footage.
But it does look like the Fear of God could possibly include the
Mercedes Mccambridge footage since it’s listed as being 4 minutes
    longer…

Well Blatty says there was at least 20 minutes deleted from the original cut. Friedkin used to say only about 5. 11 was added into TVYNS…

I think the dialogue of Chris naming the clay bird may have been filmed. Just the way the scene is cut, it seems as if there could have been more there. The screen tests with Ellen and Linda were of that scene so at some point there must have been more dialogue.

Marcel Vercoutere recalls filming an ending to the spiderwalk in which Regan actually bites Sharon’s ankle so hard that her face is covered in blood. Although this was from 1991… so I think his memory was just vague and he was actually referring to the spiderwalk later added into TVYNS (which further proves that it wasn’t CGI blood).

I’m sure there’s a few more bits and pieces. Hope to God we see some of it on the Blu-ray!!

Ju, what is the extended dialogue between Chris and Kinderman?

This is from the Exorcist special of Video Watchdog Magazine:

“Although the cutaways to Kinderman were scripted and apparently shot, they were drastically reduced by Friedkin in the editing. In the final cut, we merely see Chris opening the door to Kinderman. The following dialogue between them is missing:

Kinderman: Look, I’m sorry to disturb you at this hour of the night, but I’m afraid that I’m going to have to talk to your daughter, Mrs. MacNeil. And I’d like to take a look at her room, if you don’t mind.
    Chris: Regan’s bedroom?
Kinderman: Yes, immediately please. I have a warrant.
Chris: Oh, please, not now! She’s gotten worse, Lieutenant. Please! Please, not now!

It looks very cool, but one thing that bugs me is that Regan’s face seems to be modelled after this photo from The Heretic:

I still need to pre-order mine but I’ve been waiting until popcultcha.com.au get it in stock as I got my other NECA items there much cheaper than on Amazon. But since it’s only having one run, I wanna order it ASAP!

    Captain Howdy said:

It’d be great to find out if this kind of stuff will be featured on the Blue-ray (great post, Sofia).

I have hope since the ‘Faces of Evil: The Different Versions of The Exorcist’ featurette is said to contain outtakes from the film.

Would be great to finally see the trip to Washington in full, the ‘funny noises’ scene, and the extended dialogue between Chris and Kinderman after he arrives during the exoricsm… plus whatever other cuts there are!

I’ll definitely check it out, but my expectations are incredibly low.

Firstly, the trailer looks awful… like Blair Witch meets Emily Rose. Nothing looks original.

I do like the poster but that also seems like they’re trying to rip-off the spiderwalk imagery, which is fine – it’s pretty – but I’m certainly not giving into the flashy promo material like I did with Emily Rose. They ended up winning me over with that one, but the movie turned out to be a load of disappointing crap.

Plus I’m just not a fan of Eli Roth.

    Quick comparison:

    Top – Original 1997 DVD
    Middle – TVYNS
    Bottom – Blu-ray

    I peed a little.

The behind-the-scenes footage looks amazing! Hope we get to see some of the Captain Howdy stuff too. And the film itself is looking great – a lot more natural colours than TVYNS.

    CAN’T WAIT much longer!!!

Unfortunately I was outbid while sleeping.

Although it’s more unfortunate that the people who always win these interesting things will never visit this forum and share it with us…
