KeymasterThanks for the heads-up on this one, Justin!
The moment I posted this news the negative backlash on facebook was reasonably consistent.
I'm sure there would be a lot of interest around the show when it premiered, I'm just not sure it'd actually be a quality production– certainly not anything that could match up to the film or novel, which is what everybody will be comparing it to.

KeymasterI dig the Lettered Edition cover more. Something about feels a little less like a 2005 sub-par horror film compared to the other one.

KeymasterI am excited by the casting of Richard Chamberlain as Father Merrin, I think he'll do a fantastic job. Thanks for the photo of Emily Yetter!

KeymasterA fascinating article about how this relates to women's rights. Yup…

KeymasterI'll get in touch with some of my WB contacts from the 2010 blu-ray and see if I can get an official word of some kind.

KeymasterThis excites the hell out of me.
I sincerely hope there are some new features put together, but I fear it may be 'more of the same' but with what sounds like a fantastic new print.

KeymasterIf I recall correctly, even Blatty said Friedkin agreed to direct.
Just havin the teleplay doesn't guarantee production, though. WB/Morgan Creek would need to come on board and cough up the money to get it filmed, and that's no cheap feat. THEN they'd need a network to air it. And I don't know many advertisers that'd want their product going to air after the crucifix scene… The Exorcist is a hard sell, especially on TV.
Hopefully, a network takes the gamble. I'd love to see HBO or AMC give it a go.

KeymasterThanks for the video clip! Sorry I didn't see it sooner. It's always fascinating to hear Friedkin talk about The Exorcist.

KeymasterGreat shot, thanks for sharing with us!

KeymasterWow that's very interesting. I am also curious as to why they changed back to the original (and am glad they did). They'll probably get calls from disgruntled youngsters tuning in to see the version 'with that creepy spiderwalk down the stairs'… ugh. I don't like that scene. Friedkin was right to leave it out in 1973.

KeymasterFor information, I have finally found it.After a close look at the scene, I discovered an information in the background during the travelling where you can read “48th”. Confirmed on Google map on 48th west. The location has changed, the door is no more there but I will enjoy to walk in this street as father Karras did almost 40 years ago…

KeymasterThanks for making me aware of this, Sofia. I wasn't aware if the issue. I am applying a patch to fix this today.
