This year, William Peter Blatty’s iconic horror novel celebrates 40 years since release. To mark the occasion, original publisher Harper are releasing a deluxe anniversary edition of The Exorcist on September 27th, 2011. They have released glimpses of the hardcover and softcover artwork which you can see below.

I myself have numerous copies of the novel I have collected over the years. A few I obtained through eBay, but mostly from secondhand book stores. I will most certainly be adding these new releases to my collection when they are released!
