NECA’s possessed Regan rotating head figure finally set for release

NECA have finally revealed an official release period for their highly anticipated Exorcist Possessed Regan Electronic Figure Boxed Set. As timely as ever, you can pre-order it now and have it in your hot little hands before Halloween this year. The item will hit shelves during October and is expected to sell rapidly, arriving at the surprisingly affordable price of $39.99.

NECA announced this figurine at ComicCon 2008 when a prototype was put on display, however the completion of the project has been hindered “due to the economy and lack of specialty retail support”. NECA finally get to release Regan in all her glory as part of their exclusive license which allowed them to produce some of the first Exorcist memorabilia fans have ahd access to, including the famous Spiderwalk display and Regan bobble head.

I personally hope NECA continue with their Exorcist license and produce something that includes other characters (Merrin, Karras, Kinderman, Chris etc.) and not just focus on Regan.

The boxed set comes complete with battery-powered rotating head. That’s right, Regan’s head will rotate the full 360 degrees when you switch it on. But that’s not all. While she’s busy defying laws of nature with her rotating head, she’ll be spitting vile lines from the film via her audio chip. “Your mother sucks cocks in hell!” Okay, maybe not that exact quote, but you get the idea.

I’d consider NECA very brave if they included this sound byte piece from The Exorcist. I wonder which snippet’s of Regan’s voice they’ll use? Likely “The power of Christ compels you…” will be heard.
