False rumors started kicking around the internet during November that William Peter Blatty (author of The Exorcist) had passed away. Out of respect I did not post these rumors as I discovered they were proven false “ it was a different male named Peter Blatty who had passed.
However, it has now been brought to my attention the gentleman in question was actually Peter Vincent Galahad Blatty “ William Peter Blatty’s 19 year-old son.
Peter was born 17 May 1987 and passed away 7 November 2006. On behalf of all CaptainHowdy.com members and fans of Mr. Blatty’s extensive library of work, we send our deepest sympathies for his family’s loss.
Peter has two brothers and three sisters, all fathered by William Blatty.
