As I understand it the diary was informal notes just to document the case.
I always wondered about that in the back of my mind too. Also when Merrin walks in and Regan lets loose with that wall shattering scream of “MMMMMEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!”. I thought someone should have gave a “How the fuck did she know that?” look.

I totally agree. I think if it would have stuck to the book we would have had a worthy sequel to the original. I tell prople to watch it up to the point where the nurse is subdued at Kinderman’s house then turn it off and read the last of the book.
I think it’s one of those rare movies that actually gives me the creeps. The particular scene in your avatar is one of the most brilliant scares I can think of. Excellent timing. It’s kind of like being on a bungie jump that you know is going to drop but it takes so long you give up, then it drops…..

I find it hard to believe the girl who would soon be Rick James’ girlfriend, didn’t at least know some of the things she was doing were……. extreme.
On top of it all I don’t think you ever see Linda in that scene from the waste down anyway. I thought that was probably Eileen Deitz, although really it could have been anyone. It never shows her face and crotch level at the same time does it?
The movie was pretty bad. I read somewhere the guy rewrote the movie in less than a day. No shocker.
The girl was pretty cute though….
I had to look up “emetophobic”. If you suffer from that my friend, you love the wrong movie!
