I really want to go but in order to see “The Exorcist”, you have to subscribe to at least 2 other plays. That brings it up to around $185.00 for all three. I have zero interest in the other 2 plays so it looks like I will be taking a pass on it.

    It was Carl.
Blatty said it was and the clue is he makes the Catholic cross sign on himself at one point. Think it was in the book and not the movie but can’t remember at the moment.

I actually thought they were more noticeable on the Blu-Ray.. Probably because I was looking for them Tongue out

I thought so to. I think it was up too Friedkin to remove the wires. I'm kinda torn if they should or shouldn't have.

Exactly. I have found a lot of people dont make that connection with this scene. TO be blunt, she turns her head backwards to mock the way Burke was found dead then she drives it home by speaking in Burke's voice.

I hate to be a party pooper, but I never liked the bloody spiderwalk. I think it kind of was put of place. I liked the one verison of the Spiderwalk that someone did on youtube, where Regan chases Sharon. Then, that is just my opinion.

That's the one from the book. For years I honestly thought that was the original and the bloody one was a complete CGI creation until the Roizman tapes and you can see the blood being wiped off of her mouth at the bottom of the stairs. The funny thing to me is there are people all over youtube that can do this without wires. I almost wish they would just reshoot the damn scene and tweak it with the original shot….

I say the draw a commitee from this board, let us wade into the vaults, and let us make the damn extras. We can even quiz blatty and Friedkin while watching the movie and dig a good commentary out of them. THen we'll get another commentary with Blair, Burstyn and Van Sydow for a second commentary track. THen yet another with Dietz, Dick Smith and Rick Baker!

Then well make it so you can choose what scenes are left in or taken out. You can have the tongue spider-walk. The bloody one or none at all. Original ending or the Casablanca ending. The possibilities are huge.

Someone get WB and make it happen for the 40th! I'll work for peanuts!

Food for thought. In that pamphlet that comes with the Blu-Ray it also says the vomit scene was Eilleen while in the Doc it says she was only used for the subliminal cut. (Forgive me. I lent my copy to a friend and I can't quote it directly)

My point is if that is the case, whoever wrote the pamphlet may be………. uninformed or making assumptions which for me calls in to question the statement on the spider-walk……. Just sayin! Sealed

It had to be sped up. The blood may have been enhanced looking at the making of I would guess it wasn’t.

My favorite scene is still when Kinderman is interviewing Chris and half way in she comes to the realization that Regan killed Burke. She asks him if he would like some coffee hoping he would say, “No thanks, Gotta get going” and instead he says “Yes”. The look of disappointment in her eyes says it all.

The way her face turns as soon as she has her back to him is amazing. When he finally leaves she breaks down as soon as the door is closed. That whole scene is just brilliant because there is a unspoken subtext to it. Pure acting!

Yep. It takes place while her head is backwards. Burke's head was turned around backwards. That is what he is talking about when he say's “Do you know what she did?”.
