Maybe the smell was just illusionary like the head spin?

The shot I like the best is the one where Regan spins her head around and you can see her breath as she breaths. Immediately after she does this, Karras says “Amen”. Its hard to explain actually but its perfect timing.

Fada, does the script describe the pictures at all?

I notice the lion also has horse-like characteristics.

You probably can’t find her weight b/c weight tends to fluctuate a lot over time whereas height doesn’t fluctuate much in adulthood.

Colombia, another stroke of genius with the owl. Of course the owl can only face its head backwards and then return to the normal state. Regan can spin her head in circles indefinitely. Go figure. I always wondered why it wouldn’t make the skin on her stretch and turn into a screw like configuration. Maybe someone should write a book entitled physics of the Exorcist. Now that would be a neat little read.

I agree that leaving Bruke’s death out of the film was the right call. Was his death described in more detail in the book?

I have always been curious as to how Burke’s head ended up backwards. The movie says it connected to witchcraft. Does anyone know anything about a connection to witchcraft outside of the Exorcist?

…and did Regan’s body kill Burke or did the demon use its telekinetic power to break his neck. Or perhaps the demon entered Burke’s body, twisted his head around and then left causing him to die? Interesting thoughts. Anyone know how it was suppose to happen in canon?

LOL Fada. Don’t you think this has just a touch of Cydonia Mesa?

    Hi Fada.

I want you to know that I have a lot of problems in general with socialization. No, I’m not mentally retarded, although you are certainly not the first person to question this. In fact when I was eight years old I was screened by my school for learning disabilities because of my dismal performance and given an I.Q. test by a licensed psychologist. The results of the test surprised everyone that I was not “stupid” but actually extremely intelligent. I know this sounds like bragging but it was what the test showed. I do not give much credence to I.Q. tests but I certainly did have bragging rights.

I suspect if I were younger I’d had been diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome which wasn’t listed in the DSM until ’93. The fact is that I am smart but have a lot of problems in the area of language and social interaction. Both online and in the real world people find me difficult to work with and I often come across as having a bad attitude. I assure you that this is not my intention and if I could fix the problem I would. Never the less it continues to plague me.

I am not here to be your bane or the bane of anyone else on this website. When I suggested that Ms. Rosary was abused I was not trying to beat her up. I simply believed it was true. It certainly would not had been her fault. Its not as if I don’t know many other people that claim to had suffered child abuse — its not exactly — uncommon. Perhaps that’s why I know so much about the subject that I have a pretty good feeling talking to someone or even reading her post whether or not something like that happened. In any case I’m either wrong or she doesn’t want to discuss it here, which is fine, but believe me, there was no intention of malice!

I don’t get how the US media is so out of touch with reality when it comes to weight and obesity. From watching US TV shows and movies I’d had thought that everyone there was rake thin, but the few times I have visited the good ‘ol USA I felt like I was on a different planet! I could not believe how fat everyone was! LMAO

Fada, I don’t know if your serious, but I am actually coming off of antidepressants! The problems I had in childhood are not due to molestation but peer abuse and possible biological problems, such as undiagnosed Asperger’s.

“You have my deepest sympathies”? Didn’t know you held the copyright on that. LMAO!
