KeymasterThe book is only sold excursively with the Blu-ray.

KeymasterWhile it would be nice to see the Trip To Washington scene, but I don't think it should ever be added back into the film (I can confirm it is not cut into the upcoming Blu-ray release).

KeymasterThere was an adult film back in the 70s called The Sexorcist. Less of a parody and more just cashing in on the title more than anything.

KeymasterYes, eBay will delete the auction page after some time.

KeymasterNot really an Exorcist topic. Google “how to make dolls at home” and start from there. Would be great to see your final product if you follow through.

KeymasterLinda Blair (Regan) was suspended using piano wires which were cleverly painted to match the colour of the walls behind them. Still, they are somewhat visible in the original version.
Fellow moderator Justin made a thread about it back in 2008 and provided some pictures as proof that they are visible. Have a look here.

KeymasterGuys, if I could interject for a moment, just to say: it's threads/discussions like these that make it all worth it.
Thank you for keeping it civil.

KeymasterThe only TV Series based on The Exorcist characters was quickly squashed by Blatty, Friedkin and Mark Kermode in May this year. It was announced in the trades as 'in development' but they can't distribute anything involving Blatty's characters without his blessing, as I understand it. Here is the article with more details.
Back in 2009 Blatty confirmed he DOES HAVE a miniseries teleplay written, which Friedkin had agreed to direct, but there's been no word of production going ahead.
I'm not aware of any other TV series' based on The Exorcist, but there may be others that involve possession in development.

KeymasterHe posted that dribble on Halloween, of all times.
I'm sure the series will see the light of day at some stage in the future. Was anyone actually keen to see it? I've done well to avoid most of this stuff, including the mini series, on purpose.

KeymasterVery interesting 'random thoughts', thanks for sharing.
#1 – I'd probably be more concerned if I found a folded copy of the Rite of Exorcism anywhere else but a church.
#2 – I agree that The Exorcist can boost the faith of anyone who is seeking answers. My whole family is Christian and I was raised as a believer, so when my grandmother found out that I had seen The Exorcist at 14 she became very concerned. I told her she didn't have to worry because the film had only increased my beliefs– I wasn't about to run out and start behaving like possessed Regan. Quite the opposite.
That's one of the fascinating things about this fantastic horror film: It asks timeless questions of its viewer. 40 years on and its subject matter is still topical. It will be forever.

KeymasterThe final clip has finally been revealed!
I think we can confirm that is not William Peter Blatty in the blue shirt.

KeymasterWelcome to Everything Exorcist, JSM.
The Exorcist for $5, is a bargain! I remember paying $50 for the first ever Exorcist DVD over 10 years ago.
I suspect they'd be happy with selling them in the bargain bin to make way for 40th Anniversary releases next year.

KeymasterAt this point in time there has been no official announcement. Maybe one day, but right now the simple answer is 'no'.

KeymasterThe footage also shows how jarring the levitating bed was at times. At the hight of its lift the bed seems to jolt back into place while, in the film, it has a consistent and haunting 'float' effect.
