Classic rock radio station KGGO Radio spoke with Linda Blair recently about the upcoming blu-ray release of The Exorcist.
The interview is a short segment (lasting only 8 minutes) and touches on the remarkable restoration of the film, the amazing behind-the-scenes footage and some typical questions about Linda Blair’s supposed trauma as a result of playing Regan– including the language she had to use as a thirteen-year-old actress.
Linda described it as “the greatest magic act ever shot on film,” which I believe perfectly describes the laborious production of The Exorcist. What director William Friedkin and his crew achieved during the 1972/3 production remains ground-breaking and truly unique to this day.
Linda also notes:
You could not make The Exorcist today. It would be too expensive and you would have to use CGI, and I don’t think the audience would believe it.
