Has anyone ever thought about writing to Shout Factory about doing an Exorcist III Legion Bluray?

My parents must have done something right.  At least, I don't support evil traitors with POWs  blood on their hands nor do I support and praise child rapist (Polanski) and evil tyrants (Hitler) like you do.

You have to realize that the ultra left wingers like Jane Fonda was calling American prisoners of war “Liars”.Innocent young men were dying by the thousands and she was betraying them and America as a whole. She was on the side of ultra left wingers such as the Weather Underground who were busy blowing up police stations and wanted to basically overthrow the United States and turn it into a communist dictatorship the way Obama is actively doing now. It's ironic how ULTRA LEFT WINGERS brand US patriots and believers in the US constitution as Ultra Rightwingers. The ULTRA Leftwingers have this insidious trait of turning truth upside-down.During the days of Vietnam, the only way that one avoided being drafted was A.) join the army, navy, air force, or the marines before you got the draft notice..or B.) Be fortunate enough to have a rich father who could put you through college as another way of avoiding being drafted into that police action up until the year 1972 when Richard Nixon stopped the draft.Yes…NIXON stopped the draft, whereas democrat Johnson escalated the war in 1968.Nixon may have done Watergate, but did people die like the ones in Benghazi last year under Barack Obama?

Thank you Ken and well said.

RatBoy: “Jane Fonda is a self admitted communist”

Communism is perfectly okay in America unless it advocates violent overthrow of the government. Your point?

Communism is evil through and through.

“went to Vietnam to aid and comfort the enemy during a war”

Good for her. The “enemy” needed comforting, since it was being immorally and illegally attacked by a vicious imperialist superpower whose idea of combat was napalming civilians and dispensing Agent Orange.

thousands of good Americans died in that damn war, you heartless scumbag. Most of them were drafted.  They died to protect your freedom to act like an ass behind the keyboards.

Secondly, Fonda went to Vietnam to save the lives of American soldiers by trying to document the real war and hopefully stop it by disclosure.

Bullshit!!! She went to there to aid and comfort the those barbaric enemies of the USA and to demonize the USA with her treasonous propaganda.

Saving US soldiers isn't spitting on them and calling them liars, hypocrites and baby burners.

You are so anti anti patriotic, it's disgusting.

“She was also responsible for the deaths of American POWs”

Documentation please. If you can prove that any American soldier died from or by Fonda's direct involvement,

Words and account by surviving troops and POWs are proof enough for me.

I may retract some of my opinions. But not without proof. And don't forget that it was not war protesters like Fonda who were mass-killing Americans.

Get your facts straight! Her treasonous crimes is not for protesting the war. Most everyone was against the war. If I was old enough to understand back then, I would have be protesting the war. Hanoi's Jane's crimes is aiding and comforting the enemies while they were killing AMERICANS and getting POWs executed.

    It was the Kennedy-Johnson-Nixon administrations.

Get your facts straight!!! It wasn't Kennedy nor Nixxon. It was Johnson. Nixxon ended the draft and pulled our troops out.

“I'm glad my parents banned Jane Fonda from my household”

Doubtless Fonda was hurt and suprised by their hospitality fail.

Of course anti American elitist snobs like you and hanoi jane doesn't care.

What other things and people did your parents forbid you to know and think about, thereby destroying your critical thinking potential and keeping you happily ignorant?

How dare insult my parents. They were the most charitable people I've ever known. They both lost siblings and friends in that damn war and I grew up understanding and respecting their reasons.

And the only ignorant asshole I see on this thread is you. You're a disgusting sicko.

I so regret defending you when Beezle came in here spamming insults towards you. Leave it to a Liberal to stab me in the back by insulting my deceased parents.

Since you're posting this stuff simultaneously both here and at imdb, it would be simpler if I first just copied your latest in imdb:

    Spoken like a true stalker

    “Sparky” wrote in imdb:

That's like saying I should critique Polanski on his directing rather than the fact that he's a sicko that drugs and rapes children.

Or perhaps I should critique Hitler as a painter rather than the fact that he was an evil tyrant.

To which I replied in imdb:

Exactly. This is a film forum, not a political forum.

Who died and left you moderator here and at IMDB?  Who are you to dictate what can be discussed here or at IMDB?

If you think Fonda should not have taken the Burstyn part based on Fonda's acting skills or lack thereof, fine. But you used this board to air your political rage.

When a controversial, treasonous political activist was almost cast as a lead in The Exorcist and comments that this movie is a piece of shit, she becomes very much relevant to the discussion about the Exorcist.

    So deal with it!!!!

Apparently you're more at home with all the lying, bloody deeds of the Vietnam Era U.S. government than you are with the patriots who sought to circumvent that government's many evils.

You are so warped with your facts like a typical hanoi jane apologist.

Be that as it may, Fonda's personal political views have no relevance to her potential acting in The Exorcist.

Her almost involvement and negative comments about the Exorcist is relevant to discussion so deal with it !

Case in point, I despise John Wayne's ultra-conservative, anti-liberal, pro-torture (The Green Berets) views,

Of course an elitist snob such of yourself has no tolerance towards other views

but I don't permit Wayne's personal foibles to interfere with my enjoyment of his films. Your inability to make the separation between an artist's professional and private life is a perfect way to ruin film appreciation.

On the contrary, it shows I have morals and  principles which is why I won't  ever watch a Hanoi Jane nor child rapist Polanski flick.

You're just as mistaken re: Polanski inasmuch as Polanski “is” not “a sicko that drugs and rapes children” (you misuse the Present Tense).

Yes he is. His victim spoke up as well as Polanski admitted to the crime in a court of law. Get your facts straight!

Afaik, he is accused of only one drug/molestation incident. He is not a serial molester,

Oh I see. He only got caught doing it once so he's okay by you and since it happened long time ago, everyone should just forget it.

If you had a daughter, I'd feel sorry for her for having such a morally bankrupt father.   God forbid if a predator ever assaulted your daughter, you'd probably wouldn't press charges and let him walk free so long as he makes good movies.

as is implied in your phraseology. Most important, as with Fonda's case, Polanski's outside-profession behavior does not affect one iota the high quality of his films, past and present.

Your attempted mixing/matching of political behavior with professional accomplishment is an emotion-based logical error.

unlike you, I don't reward traitors nor child rapist by supporting and praising their films. While you're at it, why don't you hang a painting by Adolf Hitler in your living room!!

    = = =

I think that about covers it. Now back here at Howdy.com:

Yes it sure does. You certainly made an ass of yourself.  😉

My main point is, the Exorcist could have suffered having the Jane Fonda stigma.

It would be better to critique her acting instead of writing:

    “… that treasonous bitch …”

Sure and while I'm at it, perhaps I should I should critique Polanski on his directing rather than the fact that he's a sicko that drugs and rapes children.

Or perhaps I should critique Hitler's paintings as an artist rather than the fact that he was an evil tyrant.

Jane Fonda is a self admitted communist that went to Vietnam to aid and comfort the enemy during a war. She was also responsible for the deaths of American POWs and you call her a patriot?

    Wow!!!!

I  proudly defended you when you were being spammed and attacked by Beezle … but this time you are wrong.

I'm glad my parents banned Jane Fonda from my household. At least it taught be principles and respect for my relatives that were killed during the war.

I too can't wait til she dies so I too can pee on her grave.

I never saw the original version in theaters because I was too young. TVYNS is the first time I saw The Exorcist on the big screen so it had more of an impact than watching the original version on a rinky dink TV screen with rinky dink sound and those rinky dink cable boxes with all those buttons and sliders.

Jane Fonda was not allowed on my vcr nor TV screen while growing up in my house so neither me nor my family would have enjoyed and been terrified by the Exorcist while growing up.

“In both versions, Karras is never mentioned. It seemed like the writers were giving all credit to Merrin for Reagen's Excorism and tottaly snubbed poor Karras.”

Acurate info is necesarry to properly criticise a movie, always.

Karras was not snubbed out. Since William Friedkin and William Peter Blatty had nothing to do with it, Jason Miller wanted no part in it. To the day of his death, he never saw “EXORCIST 2”. An eccentric fellow to say the least.

But of course this is all false. What do I know?

I'm not saying that Karras should have been featured  in newly filmed flashback footage. The point I was trying to make was Karras should have been shown alongside Merrin during Lamont's voiceover and Karras also should have been mentioned several times in The Heretic instead of the characters just giving sole credit to Merrin for saving Reagen.

Also what's up with your snide posts towards grannville?  He's a long time member with great insighful posts.  I l enjoy his participation here.

Being a fan of Legion, I liked the added scene at the end with Kinderman and Dyer.  It sets in motion their continued friendship 17 years later.

    Thanks for the insight gran.

I will never understand why the studio would want to hire Boorman  for the sequel if he hated the original or why someone that hated the original want to take on the task of doing the sequel.

As for Reagen's memories, I always thought the scene in the original when she looked at Father Dyer's color and kissed him hinted that she was starting to remember being possesed.

I read somewhere that the studio wanted Jane Fonda for the role but her response was  “Why would I want to be involved with a capitalist rip-off piece of shit like this?”

Another reason not to like Jane Fonda.
