Hi…first post here….longtime Exorcist fan….

 

I was wondering if there is anyway of finding out what the various cast members were paid for this film…I know in some cases this has been made public but I haven't found anything on this film…

Tom, actually that's a really good question. I don't recall anything about salaries or, most importantly, if any of the cast receives residuals (other than Blatty and Friedkin of course). While Max von Sydow, Lee J. Cobb, and Jack MacGowran were well established, I imagine they were only paid more handsomely than others including Ellen Burstyn who had only made a few movies prior.

Now there is Eileen Dietz who zealously claims that she still receives residuals for playing Captain Howdy. I don't and never will buy that unless she can show a check stub from WB within the IRS year! :/
