Faceless
ParticipantI was watching this film with my girlfriend who made a reference to the priest statue that looks like a clown. white face, red lips, knife in hand.
ive seen this movie a million times, of course. the fact im on this site and on this forum should probably be proof enough of that. lol
the statue on its own would of course just make for a coincidence but lets add a few smaller slightly less obvious details.
the joker represents the hanged man.
notice in the first batman film the joker is hung at the end before falling to his death, then notice in the dark knight that the joker is surrounded by playing cards, one of which is a tarot card of a hanged man.
at the end of the dark knight the joker is hung upside down by one foot resembling the hanged man.
now notice in exorcist 3 when father dyer is in the heavenly airport he has the tarot cards, the camera zooms in on the hanged man card. which is not shown until the camera speeds up at the ending sequence.
again we see the hanged man in the office of dr temple as he rehearses his speech about the gemini/karras.
another thing i noticed is that the way the joker and the gemini speak are very similar. both of them speak through the lower part of the throat, as i have mimicked their characters the speaking styles are almost identical. also listen to the gemini’s laugh. (although the gemini’s voice changes several times while he is speaking)
another thing to support this theory is when the gemini gets his nose broken, they show him from the side view very pale with blood deliberately painted on his lips. possibly coincidence but given the amount of subliminal imagery i think it might be for a purpose.
the gemini also says this in part of his dialogue, which sounds almost identical to the joker.
“Toward the end, a slapstick comic relief. When that old Brother Faine, who was tending the bodies, saw me climbing from the coffin. [laughs] It’s the smiles that keep us going. Don’t you think? The little giggles and bits of good cheer.”
the dark knight joker was based off of all the previous jokers, and the joker in turn was created in an old film called “the man who laughs”
if noone has deciphered the codes in exorcist 3 yet, ill try my hand at it. its a very well put together film that doesnt recieve as much attention as i feel it should. i dont think im the smartest or most capable person to be doing it but i guess if i want it done that badly ill try myself.
the first thing i plan on doing is researching the tarot and a few other things before i try to go for an analysis.
thanks for reading. any feedback would be appreciated. if anyone has any links to exorcist 3 analysis or can provide me with any information regarding the subliminals id appreciate it!

ParticipantIn the Terry Gilliam film “The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus” Heath Ledger plays the character of Tony who is discovered hanging upon a divination by Doctor Parnassus involving the hanged man tarot card.
i doubt theres a connection there but ill post it anyway.
apparantly ledger died while filming it three fourths of the way through.
The Hanged Man represents.
Sacrifice —– Letting go —– Surrendering —– Passivity
Suspension —– Acceptance —– Renunciation —– Patience
New point of view —– Contemplation —– Inner harmony
Conformism —– Nonaction —– Waiting —– Giving upI think I may be taking this too far off track, interesting none the less.
off the topic but the daughter on “Its a Wonderfull Life” was a little girl named ZuZu. which could have been chosen to be in the exorcist due to its similarity to Pazuzu?

ParticipantI can send Bill an email and ask him about all this if you'd like, as I did previously regarding the recurring rose.

ParticipantYeah, I could've sworn it was a statue of the Joker that I saw in that movie.
