Participant#2, definitely. And, might I add: visages of Mary a la Jesus’ mum appearing to people all over the world in the likliest and unlikliest of places.

ParticipantNice find, yes. Incidentally, anyone know if it was a lot a of red tape for Blatty to get permission to use that? And, not simply quoted, but recycled as the writing of a fictional character’s… interesting. Unimaginitive on one hand, too, but on the other… brilliant and inspired.

ParticipantHAHAHA! Nice.
Justy’s a genius. You guys remember his “Captain Howdy Brushes his teeth” pic featuring all the known Friedkin film Howdy faces and a toothbrush put at a differenet angle over each? I used to have it as a siggy.
More, Justy. 😉

ParticipantI’ve seen one almost like it, sans the likeness of The Phantom of the Opera as played by Lon Chaney.

The one I’m thinking of doesn’t have the horns, and is a dead-ringer for Pazuzu aka. Captain Howdy. This one above, while beautifully crafted leaves room for doubt, no matter what the placard says. But it is admirable that they associate “Captain Howdy” as being Pazuzu, jiving with my opininion that the two are in fact one, indiviual, supernatural, satanic being.

ParticipantThis could be the kind of visual for any remake of…
THE EXORCIST. 😐
Genuinely different and creepy.

ParticipantMan, I’d have done the same as you fans who’ve taken to editing this gem, so no harm and no shame in this creative pursuit of yours. I’d have been there as relentlessly as you if I was only so fortunate.
I’m envious. And so… um, when you’re done with those programs… may… I have ’em? 🙂 (Half-joking!! 😛 )

ParticipantI got that book. Nice cover illustration, decent content. Recommened. But still nothing on the level of quality as the Travers book.

Ps. There’s a similar paperback on the making of The Heretic, and it actually will make any reader of it optimistic that the justifiably maligned film was handled by people who knew precisely what they were doing and doing to the ‘Exorcist’ name, and thus, that the film was gonna be a winner. Seriously, a good read!

ParticipantSeen it. 😉 Or, did you change something? 😮

ParticipantHey, that’s pretty effective, but much TOO fleeting. Up the number of frames and you’re golden. It wasn’t until you told me that, that I noticed it. Good subliminal, but TOO subliminal! 😛
