Shades of George C. Scott's amusing, speculative rant about Morgan Creek getting Madonna for a song-and-dance number for the finale of The Exorcist III…?

Stellar find. Thanks, Granny! Shall be fascinating to see where the series veers next. I think they've done just about all they can do cinematically, so TV may just be the ticket…!

Granny, no worries. Alas, I gave up on IMDB a long time ago, at least in terms of logging in or keeping an account; forgot my password, LOL. However, I’ll save your email addy above and touch base once life isn’t so hectic. And/or, you may contact me via the email found at my website by clicking the image of my pretentious, balding mug elsewhere on CH.com here. 😛

There was even once a time when I regularly used MSN, LOL. Killed my Facebook account last month, too. Old age is great! Cool

P.S. A number of your observations and speculation there I'll be referencing in my book and would sincerely appreciate ultimately, duly, appropriately crediting you by your real name if you don't mind. We can keep your name a mystery until then, as I don't need it in order to finish what remains on this titanic project.

They did! Features the fantastic E:TB cross design transferred to the Harlin film with Schrader's exit.

It’s pretty lacking, for sure; but in my research, there are at least three or four individuals, MVPS, shall we say, with very different views on what the prequel should have been. It’s certainly understandable to dislike either prequel film — or both — but it should be noted that the two films were merely interpretations of what could have been, some say, a better result; the John Frankenheimer/Caleb Carr/Vittorio Storaro effort that eventually went to Paul Schrader, before Harlin picked up the pieces and remade Merrin’s backstory in his own image, whatever the studio ultimately wanted; what they shifted to.

Trust me, guys. You’re in for a treat. 🙂

Decent, most decent; the inclusion of the biker jacket bugs me, though; THAT will up the price beyond… well, beyond, what with some youthful, non-Exorcist ponying up hundreds for it. Grrr. That seller should be more courteous than to do that. Oh well.

But I’m holding out for that slick golden Byzantine cross, or one of those awesome mosaics. Heck, the whole church, if the seller can grant me the pre-Harlin crow-carcass-assembly version.

    Cheers,

Gang, a slew of interviews — all exclusives on a number of different levels — in the can, ensuring this book taking me longer than my already aimed-high ambitions first established things, thanks to the transcription process alone. Heh. Fortunately, the names are iconic, a number of them, so it should be well worth it, lemme tell ya!

Most recently, Vittorio Storaro, Caleb Carr, and some former Morgan Creek executives. And many more. Can others be on the horizon? There’s a few more folks I’m keen to speak to.

But interviews aside, this book will be up there with Mark Kermode’s best, if… I may be so bold. Sir.

20XX A.D. Guaranteed, should I live to finish it. Gotta be honest; there’s a HELL of a lot of work, to do this right, given all these recent interview acquisitions launching the book into truly definitive status (ie. something for everyone.).

Wish me luck, please. 🙂 I wish this labor of love were all I had to live for, daily work-wise! Fun fact: writing (for various formats/media) has trumped my passion for illustration; I love to draw, but writing is much more natural, a hidden talent gone undisclosed for too, too long. Comic books I’ll still be aiming for, but writing — in particular copy-writing (not to be confused with the legal concept of copyrighting) — is a much better, and better-paying, fit.
