How about Linda does the new Captain Howdy/Pazuzu/Mask of Death. Could be interesting.

I always thought the perfect actor to play Karris for a remake would be Edward Norton. I really couldn’t see any other actors that are of the appropriate age group to be playing that part.

I really did like how they tied all the events of today to show the coming of Armageddon. Hey the original is not perfect by any means. Hate to break it to everyone but it isn’t. This is the same arguement I got when Dawn of the Dead was remade. The original in both situation tends to be very slow paced and very uninteresting in situations. I think in both situations the remakes really tightened things up. You wanna talk about crappy remakes. Let’s start a When A Stranger Calls remake thread in the other forum. Now there’s a genuine piece of shit.

Well if you hadn’t seen the original or the movie trailer you wouldn’t know the twist of the movie. The only reason for watching that flick was the main actress was good looking. The original wasn’t all that great either but still better.

I’m interested to see it. I thought House of 1000 Corpses was bad but Devil’s Rejects was decent. Both films I thought had a great visual style but lacked a little when it came to writing.

Well I’ve heard there are hours upon hours of unused Iraq footage. But honestly I’m not sure how exciting that would be to see. I would love to see behind the scenes footage of Freidkin directing the exorcism scenes. Would be really interesting to see Linda Blair to be a regular 12 year old girl in that hideous demonic makeup. Probably would be almost laughable that’s why Freidkin doesn’t want it released. As a fan I say that’s bullshit but as someone who takes the integrity of this film very seriously I say it’s a wise move.

Yeah it was shot during 1973. Probably just stock footage or insert shots that they really didn’t have any intention of using once the cut had been assembled.

Fellini there was an image that appeared briefly during the Curse of the Exorcist program. Not sure if ya caught it but it a side view ultra rare angle of the Eileen Dietz footage. Here’s a link I posted.

I think the remake made up for some of the flaws that original had. It’s definetely not a masterpiece nor the greatest remake ever made but it’s worth taking a look.

    Hey everyone,

Went and saw The Omen remake last night. Not a bad flick by any means but I wanted to say that there is a huge Exorcist reference. Towards the end of the movie there is a shot of the sun accompanied by the opening chant from our favorite flick. This shot is very similar to the one that The Exorcist has.
