As a postscript, there is not one categorical legal violation of the use of this photo under the Restatement Second of Torts, Sec. a, to the best of my knowledge.

Truly, I’m now of the volition of the rumors that Friedkin thought the scene looked just plain stupid and out of whack from the rest of his documentary-style film. Of course, Friedkin claims it was “ineffective technically” and “too soon” in the film …
