ParticipantHi, folks.
Sorry I haven't posted anything much in a while. Real life has had me busy lately. (Not anything bad…just a LOT of singing..LOL! My voice is beat up!)

Anyhoo…
Here is a visual pan and slight tour of the bridge of my Galactica. This is generally a demo, so yes, there are a few little visual hiccups here and there…LOL! But, I think this turned out alright. This was a technically complex shot, requiring some copositing in the initial pan around shot of the bridge, (splitting the bridge down the middle with a greenscreen, and shooting with only half of the characters each pass) just so I can get all of the characters in the first shot.  From there, for each shot, I had to eliminate whatever characters I wasn't using so that the shot would render out.

I am hoping to start shooting my first story very, very soon.  I hope you like. 🙂

ParticipantThank you. Most kind. 🙂

I am redoing the animation now, to try and get better ambient lighting, and make the bridge look just a little more lifelike. 🙂

ParticipantHere is a redux of the Bridge Activity shot. I've dimmed the ambient lighting a little, and gave the monitors and scanner screens a bit more glow.  Added light effects to the steps. Added a couple of new shots and angles. Also dropped in some dialogue so the scene doesn't seem so sparse.  And on the character who is doing a scan of a moon, I added a slight video screen reflection to his face….ala ALIEN or CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE THIRD KIND. Hope ya' like. :) Again, just click on the link.

ParticipantThe glow of the screens really makes a difference.

ParticipantThanks. :) Dimming the bridge and enhancing the lighting was a common suggestion among others who've seen the test video. Think I'm gonna change the color of the step lights though, so it doesn't get too heavily compared to “The Empire Strikes Back”. 🙂
