I’m traveling to Venice solo and the 80-100 Euro price for a gondola is just too much for one person. Is there a way to share a ride with others? Is there a specific spot where people “team up” or can you book a single seat somewhere? I really don’t want to miss out just because I’m alone.

You can absolutely share! There are “Gondola Sharing” tours where you book just one seat in a boat of 6 people. It’s way cheaper, usually around 30 Euros.

I did this last year and it was great – I met a nice couple from Australia and we all shared the experience. You can find these shared seats via Gondola Rides in Venice https://alle.travel/en/venice/category/gondola

The only downside is you might not get to pick the exact route, but you still see the main sights. It’s a perfect budget-friendly way to do the “classic” Venice experience without breaking the bank as a solo traveler.

This is perfect! 30 Euros is much more manageable for my budget. I don’t mind sharing the boat if it means I get to see the city from the water. Thanks!

Solo travelers often find gondola sharing a practical way to experience Venice without the high cost of private rides, while still enjoying the atmosphere of the canals. Many travelers also look for reliable planning resources like Travel Advantage Network reviews when comparing broader vacation options and shared travel experiences.
