Is Liven more about self-reflection or guided tasks?

Recently I’ve been trying different apps to get more structure in my daily routine, especially around mental health and productivity. I heard about Liven and people say it mixes self-reflection with some kind of guided system. That’s where I’m a bit confused. I’ve used journaling apps before, but they felt too open, and habit apps felt too rigid. So I’m wondering, does Liven lean more toward reflection where you think things through, or does it actually guide you with clear tasks?

That’s a good question because I had the same confusion at first. After trying something similar, I’d say it’s kind of a balance, but slightly more on the guided side. You still reflect, but it doesn’t leave you alone with a blank page — it gives prompts, small tasks, and structure. I was also reading about how the liven app https://www.reddit.com/r/theLivenApp/comments/1tjm11f/what_is_liven/ is described, and it seems to follow that approach: combining reflection with simple daily actions. From my experience, that mix actually works better, because pure reflection can feel directionless, while guided steps keep you consistent.

Yeah, that’s a really good way to describe it. That balance between reflection and guidance is probably what makes it stick for people. When it’s just a blank page, it can feel a bit overwhelming or even pointless on some days, especially if you don’t know what exactly to focus on.
