It’s an advanced reading copy that they give to critics. Much like a screener would be to movies. Nothing really different about it. I’m sure it’s rare that’s why it’s so much.
What gives with the photos here selling at close the $300.00? I know they’re supposed to be a gift to Al Taylor (whoever that is), but why on earth would Dick Smith go to the trouble of taking POLAROIDS!?! of pictures that have been out there since the movie was made? Hmmm … leaves me thinking the same thing as GhettoExorcist!
Picked that ARC up, at half that aforementioned copy’s price (and sans the prestige of the “proper” auction system and obligatory buyer’s fee based on end price), not a week past the ending of the other one. :O
