ParticipantWB executives who make it all happen:
My primary request is: make an equivelent “regular” DVD version, with as many discs as is necessary to contain what the HD one will have special features-wise. I’ll pay the money, that I assure you.
Otherwise, I know an Australian who might have to make one for me. I wouldn’t pay him, of course; that would be bootlegging — and as a fan of your establishment much of the time, piracy I do not condone when financed with physical money.
I think that sums it up. Well, let me add this:
There will be MANY fans who would buy a standard DVD version of whatever you put on HD-DVD. It’s a no-brainer, WB: you need to please EVERYONE, even the behind-the-times millions and millions of film fans happy with their current home theater setup.
Yours until my body rots and lies stinking in the earth,

ParticipantHey, guys. Finished and just turned in the first draft of my essay on ‘DEMONS FIVE’. 5012 words. A draft or three more by the mid-July due date, and I’ll be able to relax. The hard part is over, I think; now it’s just a matter of refinining and getting everything cited. Thanks for your interest in this book of essays of which I am but one of many (12?) lucky blokes participating.
Sincerely,
M.I.K.E.

ParticipantGood reading, though I’m DYING to read his review of DOMINION. There’s more for him to dig into there than with the shallow, 1-dimension ‘Beginning’, even if he were to hate DOMINION more than E:TB. (Thanks for sharing the review for us, Justy! 😛 )

ParticipantJusty, good find. Now find MORE! 😉
By the way, is it just me or does it look like they did a better job at the storyboarding than they did with the acting, filming, special effects, casting, plotting, scripting, beginning, middle, and ending…? 😛
Seriously, good storyboards; they get the point across, but they also make nice drawings.

ParticipantJusty, can you make screenshots for our pal Father Lamont, please? 🙂
Father, generally speaking, it talks about Robinson’s career. But it’s his non-grasp of reality (in terms of making “good movies”) that makes it such a hoot to read… He says some very, very ironic things about what he does and what he stands for. I will give him props for giving Lindsay Lohan a nice wake-up call. Rare to see Hollywood seem to genuinely care about their own.

ParticipantGranny, no, never considered such. But now I have! 😀
Realistically, if I do, I’d probably make it one of my school projects. 🙂 Keep ya posted!

ParticipantFor you lunatics out there (no, I am not one, although I did FIND this, huh? Heh.), the ultimate Exorcist prop… for the modern filmgoer and fan… who hates kids. 😮
Costing you only lot$a ca$h…

Ps. If I did have the money and audacity — if it weren’t so low on my to-get list — to buy this… piece-of-work, I’d definitely make sure to hang it up on my wall when guests would visit; then when they left, yes, I just might take it down and play with it. Anybody who bought this, what else would they do with it, ya know…?! Think about it. 😛

ParticipantJim Robinson is a terrible liar; he’d make a great politician. And/or maybe he just isn’t aware of all the evidence contradicting what he says he stands for. 😛
That’s what I got out of the article. Oh, and there is indeed no mention of EIII, just the prequels. You’d think they’d mention the infinitely more respected EXORCIST III instead of remind everyone how they blew it making two prequels… unless it’s completely dead, ancient, forgettable history to them. I dunno, if they like to talk about their Exorcist failures (all of ’em!), why leave out the first? Oh well, big deal. I’m just being silly, complaining like this. 😛

Incidentally, do you draw? 😀

ParticipantYou guys are too kind; THANK YOU. 🙂 Incidentally, pull up a chair. I’d like to share something since we’re on the subject of creative abilities, if I may…
[sappy sermon]I don’t mean to be preachy, guys, but YES you CAN do more than you give yourself credit for; with God — diligently following Him — all things are possible, supposing what you seek to do with your talents/pursuits is of benefit to others in some way, ways sometimes only God knows. But if you pursue something with God in mind, and seek His participation in your life, He will provide. It might take seconds, hours, years, days or nights, but that’s just God working in our lives, according to His timing.
My abilities have taken agonizing years to manifest themselves; it wasn’t overnight. Plus, I know lots of people that are good or competent at more than one thing, by God’s grace. I suppose I am, too, just as I suppose you guys are; “SUPPOSE”…? Nah, I’m SURE of it! If we’re really convinced we don’t and never will have what it takes to be good or great at something, without God… we would be right! But with Him, since He has given and gives — blesses — us all with what we have, we’re so wrong. 🙂 Friends, spouses, they compliment as humanbeings… but God, He completes us. [/sappy sermon]
[intermission]Blizzi, yeah, bro — let’s see it. HITCHCOCK by Blizzi. I’m at the edge of my seat…!
Oh, and Granny, let’s see your work, too (no pressure!). 🙂 [/intermission]
[sappy sermon II]I can tell you this much: I have a good friend — we used to draw comic books since 4th Grade… the stuff was terrible, and my art was inferior to his… and yet I stuck with it. AND, even though he didn’t, his stuff then and now in many ways — whether he wants to admit it or not — is more pleasing to the eye than mine; his visual sense/style is just original and enchanting to behold, silly as it was. His figures and backgrounds were so 1-D, but the overall effect, priceless.
The moral: One needn’t be a great artist to be a good artist. “GOOD” is being satisfied with one’s own work, after passionately (if not diligently) pursuing the artform. And lots of times it takes others to recognize our talent before we do. But the bottom line is: Where there’s a will there’s a way. God gives us that will if our motivations cultivate holiness in our lives so that others might see Christ directly or indirectly through our examples.[/sappy sermon II]
Godspeed!
M.I.K.E.
