And that’s not Sachi. She was never a spoiled/cruel kid. Regan should find out about what happened in Georgetown in a different way.

RatBoy, that was so nice of you to say. 🙂

Well, I prefer the novel, of course. We know the characters in a way the movie doesn’t allow. This is personal, but I love stories that show a wonderful relationship between a mother/daughter and the book has a lot more about it.
I love the whole MENTAL vs. POSSESSED plot; the wonderful discussions about medicine, psychiatry, religion; the storylines within storylines that don’t appear in the film… well, everything.

It’s the pictures of Shirley and Sachi that make it seem like a dramedy. They are always doing funny things..

Iamnoone explained he/she didn’t write this scene to fit in the novel. At least take the time to read it before writing your honesty with compassion remarks…

I really like the gradual onset of Regan’s illness/possession in the novel. We never see her hearing the noises. They always cease at the moment Chris enters the room. Chris thinks that her daughter is doing it all. When Regan is silently staring at the ceiling, complaining of the noises, Blatty never wrote that Chris was listening to them too.

What?? I didn’t do this wallpaper to be effective. It was only to show pictures of the people who Blatty based Chris and Regan on!

I agree with you, but still your remark was kind of insensitive.

Right. But honesty with compassion would be better, don’t you think? Well, I’m sensitive to people’s feelings..

“They could have it exactly like the novel, but hire the most horrible cast and crew that do a total whack job of it”

Ju, that’s why they need to hire a good director and crew. In the novel, you can use your imagination and when you watch the movie you watch the result of Friedkin’s imagination. It’s a lot different than my vision, so if they hire a good director who loves the novel and wants to make it justice, I won’t have any problem with a remake.

I never said CGI was a horrible thing, but it would be in The Exorcist, because the story and characterization
    is what should be important.

I’m really sorry. Are you okay now?

I started a thread in fan fiction asking the fans to improvise passages I was extending in the novel, because English isn’t my first language. Only a friend offered to help but she’s very busy now and since you’re a great writer I was wondering if you could read some of my excerpts and improvise them?

Well, I’m looking forward to part 3. 🙂

Oh, I’m sorry about your car accident!

I thought you were writing this to fit in the novel. Sorry.
By the way, is it possible for you to improvise a passage I extended on the first chapter? I totally understand if you don’t have time. 🙂
