You know that shot in Arlington Cemetery (sims) when they're making fun of each others' freckles? I used Marg Helgenberger &   Taylor Fry's voices for it. They played a mother and daughter in the movie, Death Dreams (1991) and they also had that kind of unusual deep bond; thinking the same things the other is thinking without putting into words.. Do you know anyone who sounds like them?

Hours of work into building Regan's bedroom…..up in a flash!   The project file corrupted!  Now I have to rebuild her bedroom.  (I knew I shoulda saved it as a set piece as well as a project.

Oh, well.  I should be able to reconstruct it quickly, and add it back onto the house set piece I downloaded. Thankfully, I saved the characters individually…so that's a good thing. 🙂

I just downloaded the demo version of iClone but…my gosh…it's so complex. I'm not even understanding how to import Shirley & Sachi's pictures and make them 3d animated! lol

Can you really video shoot that scene with IClone exactly like it is described in the novel??

Chris looked up and froze.
Gliding spiderlike, rapidly, close behind Sharon, her body arched backward in a bow with her head almost touching her feet, was Regan, her tongue flicking quickly in and out of her mouth while she hissed sibilantly like a serpent.
“Sharon?” Chris said numbly, still staring at Regan.
Sharon stopped. So did Regan. Sharon turned and saw nothing. And then screamed as she felt Regan's tongue snaking out at her ankle.
Chris whitened. “Call that doctor and get him out of bed! Get him now!”
Wherever Sharon moved, Regan would follow.

A:   I don't know if iClone is cross compatible with the Sims games.  I never really monkeyed with the Sims, so I cannot speak to that experience.

SOFIA Q:

Can you make your 3D Regan a little girl instead of a grown up woman?

 

A:Well, when I used the face of Linda Blair on the character model, it was of Regan at the appropriate age in the film.  Unfortunately, cherub-like faces don't always translate well in iClone.   I'll try to see if I can make her a look even younger in my next project, but I am kinda partial to the Linda Blair Regan.  I did reduce her size to where she might roughly be around 5 ft tall, to make her smaller than her mom and the priests.

 

SOFIA Q:

OH- and, how did you make her levitate?? I wish that was possible with The Sims game!

 

A:  Because she was a manipulatable object in iClone, I can just make her rise on the Z axis at will.   Keyframing, that kind of thing.  Sims is a game where you just have characters interact….so it's not really an animation control scenario.   iClone is an animation program, so you can make your characters and objects do pretty much whatever you want.   I even tried to get the “Captain Howdy” face to appear the very first time you see the demonic Regan in my video, but it didn't come through quite like I'd hoped…but, I have other options available the next time I attempt that.

Oh, I don't remember a 'Captain Howdy' face the first I see the demonic Regan in your video! I'll watch it again.. I think I've already watched it 4 times lol.. I showed it to my brother as well. He loved it!

You can get the demo of iClone a couple of ways:

 

1.  Buy the program Magix Movie Edit Pro 17….it comes with a demo version of iClone 4.
