Omgosh! I love it when she says, “My daughter and I are immortalized in the annals of evil”!! That sentence should be quoted in History books, from now on! 😀

Well, to me, it is more than a little heartbreaking that she didn't do the part… Sure, Burstyn, was brilliant in some scenes but she isn't Shirley.

I thought Burstyn didn't emote that well when she cries, “Father Karras, it's my little girl!”

About defecating… For sure it wouldn't have worked on the film because people start immediately to laugh … since you have to produce a sound in order to let them understand what is happening. Or you have to show the job done, but most of the people can't even look at it. They could have talked about it, but again, it brings people to laugh …

It's funny, but I never even thought that Regan had been introduced to the astronaut before saying that to him… That's what made it creepy for me. If she did meet him before and knew he'd go up there to the moon then it makes us wonder whether or not she was under the influence of a demon or simply sleepwalking…

FatherB, you misunderstood me. 😉 I meant that the only guests who Regan didn't meet were Robert and the senator. She did meet Mary Jo, they had a creepy moment together, don't you remember?

Okay, I have to be honest here, don't take it the wrong way or anything…   I liked your dialogue except when Chris says to Sharon, “You know, Rags confided in me the other night that she seemed to like Burke and she was hinting to me that Burke and I ought to get married.”

Well, I'm not sure if you remember but in the novel Regan talks about Burke sullenly, she doesn't laugh at the thought of her mom and Mr.Dennings getting married. It's one of her fears and Chris knows it. So I would re-write that dialogue to something this:

Chris: You know, I think Regan was afraid that Burke might take my love away from her… and also I think she blamed him for the divorce.

Sharon: Well, but that's natural, Chris. In her mind you would marry a man who's not her Daddy…

“I wanted to carry the scene out further, but I have to admit, I think that was actually a good place to just stop the video.  It felt more suspenseful. “ 

Yes, I thought so too, 🙂 but I agree with hammer that it would be creepy to see Sharon running and Regan following her.   

 

“Also, unfortunately, I cannot get that particular door to open up into the other room….it's just a fixture of the environment. “

Wow, really?? didn't know that! I love behind the scenes discussions too.

Yeah, Steve doesn't deserve any kind of negative criticism after all his hard work. I wouldn't like it if people criticized my Exorcist Novel Sims negatively, especially after putting my heart into it!

My only complaint of Steve's work is that he made Chris look like Ellen Burstyn  and she isn't Chris of the novel, only Shirley MacLaine is. 😉 She's a young 32-year-old woman in the book and Steve's Chris looks to be at least 40; Ellen's age while filming the movie.

I just answered your email. 🙂 I sure hope you're able to send me the file tonight, and don't worry, if it works I'll credit ''Stephen Dunlap for the spiderwalk animation''. :) I loved the tongue flicker effect, wish you could send me that one, too!  

Yep, I noticed that the tongue is flickering as she gets to the bottom of the stairs and her eyes roll up into their sockets so you only see the whites. That was so creepy!

At the moment, I'm building The Exorcist house on The Sims 3, it's not possible to convert my Sims 2 house to sims 3 so I'll have to build everything again lol. I know I said I don't like Sims 3 animations but , well, the graphics are amazing and you can actually see the tree leaves swaying in the wind. 

Yeaaaaaah, your roommates have good taste!

Your voice as Chris was nice, you sounded a bit like a woman! You should try that for the Demon's voice – having him sound female and male at the same time. 🙂

So far it's turning out pretty good.  The voice changing software's done a decent job in allowing me to do a voice for Chris.  (I'm still using the Burstyn likeness…as I've not been able to make a satisfactory Shirley MacLaine likeness…)   I've done two segments for the scene, and added in some dialogue that was not in the novel, since the novel only narrates certain things that were said.

I still have yet to execute the spiderwalk itself…that I will likely get tomorrow.

But, it proceeds apace. 🙂
