Very interesting. It’s broadens each of our understandings of the film to hear someone else’s point of view. My dim bulb has brightened a little. Bits I didn’t really get; Regan saying “You’re gonna die up there”… I thought it was directed to the astronaut, but I now preffer his theory. He has some valid points about the possible abuse from Burke. I look forward to everyone else jumping on this thread! Fine work, magus. 🙂
I think I missed that mistake anyway. 😉 I haven’t as much “Scientist” in me as you, I believe. I go with my intuition/gut and what seems logical. I’m often very sympathetic with those who experience the “Paranormal”. Therefore, perhaps I’m a bit lapse in the need for pure evidence department. Aside from that, I just gotta say, I enjoy having these kinds of discussions with you guys. It’s so fascinating to hear everyone’s ideas about this stuff.
Wow, I’ve never heard of that… It sounds interesting, although I don’t think I could pick a book whose end I want to find out first… Possibly Stephen King’s Thinner. Only book I haven’t finnished on purpose. I can read upside down, but I don’t suppose that does any good. 🙂
