Well now I have to re read Legion!

    Good stuff though! Thanks!

The book really made me hate the cheesy fire and brimstone special effects scene that Hollywood tacked onto the end of the movie.

I’m still very curious to know if anybody anywhere has ever talked to Ronald Hunkeler. He’s probably in his 70’s (?) if he’s not already dead. He is notoriously unwilling to talk to the press (understandably) but his side of the story whether it be supernatural or psychological or troubled youth has real value in the manner in which all these issues have been (and are) discussed.

I prefer Exorcist II: The Musical.

Who knew Linda could sing and dance … or is that The Devil singing and dancing? Hmmmmm …

    Either way it’s just Hellish.

I went and read that Bill Johnson review.

    Very cool!

Its made me want to go back and re read the original book which took me YEARS to work up the courage to read cause the movie had scared me so bad. After I read it though I fell in love with it.

Reading it as an adult will be an altogether different experience I think.

I recently read Legion for the first time and more than a horror story it was like a twisted fable about the philosophy of Angels and religion. The discussions I had with friends about it were more like those you’d have about C.S. Lewis.

You are right Granville about Ellen Burstyn’s reaction in the orig spdr walk sc it is a shame to have lost that. I’m sure its been said a bazillion times but she is remarkable!

I liked the appearance of the mothers face in the window. I saw it as a kind of vision of Karra’s signaling his defeat over The Devil. I liked the Cptn. Howdy face in the Dr.s office especially becauses Reagan’s reaction is slightly curious or confused by it and it kinda growls at her. But its the perfedt spot for it. I also liked the enhanced effect over Regan’s face when she attacks the Psychiatrist who’s trying to hypnotise her. Everything else can go including the spider walk. If they were gonna use the previously shot footage they should have massively re-tooled it using todays effects cause it doesnt look like anything but a stunt woman riding a flying rig down a flight of stairs. Or, they should have just re shot it. Oooooorrrr maybe done something completely different like have Reagan scuttle across the ceiling like Mrs. Clelia in Legion, unseen by Chris and Sharon until Reagan is just above them, still clinging to the ceiling turns her head almost completely around to look down at them, they scream, she laughs and then falls to the floor violently and races towrds them on all fours.

Thanks for endulging my little screen writting jag there …

If the interiors were built as sets (which I think they were) I doubt they’re still standing.

I’d be most interested in hearing his side of the story. It seems like everbody else connected with the event has been given decades to share their version except for the one person who might be able to shed some real light on what happened.
