JustinParticipant
I never listen to the radio. The only way I find new music is through TV or other people.
JustinParticipant“I know this sounds like Iรขโฌโขm reading too far into this”
One of the great things about Dominion and the original film is that you find something new every time you watch them. I don’t think it is possible to read too far into something, because both films leave things open for you interpret as much as you want.
For me, the dream symbolizes Merrin’s head wrapped in guilt and he can’t get up or out of it – ’till during the exorcism he breaks out of it.
JustinParticipantThere’s also one for The Beginning, but there is no way in hell I’m paying $54 for that film. Plus I read the special features have nothing to do with the film. Pretty dumb.
Let’s hope for a collector’s edition Dominion coming in the future (with the deleted ending + more behind the scenes footage :D).. and one for the original film. ๐
JustinParticipantI would have loved more of Kinderman & the sub-plot with Karl’s dughter, like in the original script and novel. I would also have loved more talk between Karras and demon, and a longer exorcism.
JustinParticipantNice, I can’t wait. ๐
JustinParticipantI’ll have to listen out for that, I never noticed.
JustinParticipantI don’t have 2 or 3 on DVD yet, I’m saving for the UK anthology box set. It would be better to pay a little extra and get everything than something like that which only has 2 films and bad arwork. ๐
JustinParticipantIt would probably be the second chat between posssessed Regan and Karras. I’m always quoting “In time”.
Can’t decide about non-Exorcist scenes, but the House of Blue Leaves scene in Kill Bill is definitely high on the list. And the first kill in the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

There’s heaps of copies on ebay.
JustinParticipantI like the remake more, but the original is still a classic.
JustinParticipantThe original is to find.. for a good price, that is. It’s always on Amazon for $99 but luckily I got it for about $30.
JustinParticipantlmao, that’s crazy.
JustinParticipantI guess it would have been too hyped up for you, since you covered the film since the very beginning (and the set visit etc). What exactly is it that you didn’t like about it though?
JustinParticipantAlthough some things were changed for the better (sound wise) in TVYNS, I thought a lot of it sounded too fake (like the ‘slasher movie’ knife sound during the crucifix scene). There was also too much score.
JustinParticipantI’ll listen to just about anything, apart from most country or rap music.
The past year I’ve grown to love NIN a lot, and I’ve taken a big liking to the Aussie band Rogue Traders, too.
