ParticipantI agree with everyone here. It amazes me how idiotic WB has been when it comes to marketing this franchise (because that’s exactly what The Exorcist is in terms of marketing).
We see collector’s items for the most famous films like Gone with the Wind, yet WB just lets this one ride. I believe someone at WB (perhaps even Blatty as producer) is missing the boat on one of their prized films. Plus, if they do sell merchandise, I truly believe it would intrigue (and perhaps captivate) more viewers …

Participantcolombian … another excellent reply! I knew what you meant by the “human diaper.” If somebody doesn’t understand that, then perhaps they can follow the link I provided above and find out all about “diapers for humans” because they do exist! 😉 Also, some folks just don’t know how to use Google or Yahoo or a host of other search engines to find out information, do they? 🙂
Happy Thanksgiving to you, friend, and everyone else that will be celebrating Turkey Day.

Participantdemondan, I think you attempted a link in the title, but it’s broken.

ParticipantNo. It was a full-pledged major shit problem. 🙂

ParticipantI believe the roof now is stupidly shingled with the same color of shingles as the brick. But it could be that WB added the contoured metal roof that was faux to go along with the additional wing’s facade.
At any rate, could the current owners possibly make that house any uglier? The nut job that lived there at first (I read her husband was in politics), actually wanted “her old house” back after filming. Put a BIG “L” on her forehead!!!

ParticipantTerrific Film!

ParticipantAnanta79, yes, that was a particular peculiar thing to do because the fence that WB built on the 3600 Prospect lot was quite expensive considering it was made of wrought-iron, brick columns, and, of course, that wonderful “Exorcist” light post.
WB spiffied the house up to create the illusion of an expensive house that you would expect a celebrity like Chris McNeil would occupy. Today, it looks shitty … IMHO.
Here’s the picture comparison again (click to enlarge):

ParticipantCap, are you losing just the forum content? I am guessing you are migrating away from WordPress? I agree with Jagged, after the last idiot hijacked the site, we can live with a new home. 😉
Thanks for the heads-up!

ParticipantCan’t these folks like HH find something new???????

ParticipantAdult diaper better? Perhaps, “12-y-o Possessed Girl Diapers?”

ParticipantYou know all the things published, I can’t recall a picture of the crew building the fake facade. I only heard about it and the fact WB paid for the nice wrought-iron fence surrounding the home and the owner wanted it torn down and replaced with her old white-picket fence. DUH! She must have been nuts.

ParticipantI really enjoyed the video you created. I can tell you put a lot of thought into the entire process. This includes great lighting and, of course, camera work. I rated you with 5 star and made a comment, but youtube is acting (as usual) weird! Maybe my rating/comments is on there. 🙂

ParticipantUm, I think they used that line in “Repossessed.” 😉
