ParticipantJagged,
Where did you find out about these filming location coordinates? Just curious if you’ve read this or if you’re using Google Earth’s street view to approximate.

ParticipantCaryMG … have you tried to use RealPlayer for downloads? It’s free and you can download until your heart’s content. Also, if you don’t like RealPlayer, there is always DownloadHelper as an add-on for FireFox. I’m not sure what browser you’re using or your PC platform. Need further info …

ParticipantIron Fist,
We’ve all had a huge discussion over the house location and it’s appearance then and now (look around a little bit on here). The exact filming location is 3600 Prospect Street.
What is a little confusing viewing the house using Google’s Street View, as Jagged suggests and I agree with, is that a part of the exterior of the home was built exclusively for The Exorcist. With this exterior left-wing facade, the infamous “Hitchcock Steps” appear much closer to Regan’s bedroom window and vice versa. In fact, the steps are really far away. For obvious reasons, the wing was torn down after filming. While the house is real, only exterior shots were filmed using the combined real house and fake addition.
Trust me, it’s very confusing to get your mind around it, especially today. Here’s a quick view of the Hitchcock Steps and notice where the house is actually located: here.

ParticipantHi Sof,
Fatherb or Father Bowdern works for on this site. I’m not into the “real names” on The Exorcist Website … just you and the Cap right now.
It seems KarrasRosary is probably visiting elsewhere for the holidays … I don’t know.
I made the avatar using Photoshop (you know I love to play with all kinds of programs).
Oh, if the Cap is reading: Did you have a chance to look into the “Life Member Oops?”

ParticipantCap, I thought you posted a news piece on the front page of the site about the original getting a makeover too for the BD. My hope is that WB will use the TVYNS, cut out the CGI gimmicks, and remove the extra minutes. My guess is that TVYNS was restored prior to any of the added CGI garbage making it perhaps easier to update the original rather quickly.
Here’s to hoping!

ParticipantCap, that is also true (especially about the top dogs). But, I think of how successful films like Alien and American Werewolf in London (two top favorites of mine) showcased new and exciting talent successfully selected by Scott and Landis.

ParticipantYes, Cap, I also like that part … so smart on Friedkin’s vision of evil afraid of good.

ParticipantCap รขโฌยฆ are you tempting us? Where is the rest of this article? I would love to see it! It would great to actually read something related to the spiderwalk scene other than the picture of Hager at the beginning of the stairway descent (non-bloody). ๐
