ParticipantHmmm … X makes a good point!

ParticipantThis blog was a jewel! In the infamous words of our beloved character in The Exorcist, “Shove it up your ass, stopstealingmyimage!” So, stopstealing, you need to put “Do Not Copy” ACROSS the image you posted on eBay … and you have no right to blast someone else, like Justin, for “stealing” a scan of something you don’t own. Justin is not a thief either! So you better check the copyright laws and get approval from WB, friend, before you start your harassments.
I’ll bet you are the one who sold (really!) the Human Fart in a Jar on eBay. Too bad it didn’t sell.
This is a priceless blog! 🙂

Participant1. It wouldn’t be the same without the “flame-fest” shot. I don’t think it’s cheap, I think it was supposed to make the audience think about the supernatural at play whether Chris made a connection or not. Friedkin loved the build-up parts of this film and this was just one more attempt at bringing us closer in on the subject matter. If it was a gas leak, I think it would have been more volatile than just a jumping candle flame.
2. Yes to Mary Jo Perrin as Donna Mitchell. In believe there was a segment filmed with her and a part of the cast using the Ouija Board that was ultimately cut out. Donna was the one who introduced the Ouija Board in the film although it was ultimately shot with Regan discovering the Ouija Board in the basement closet well before the party. And, I guess if we think about, why did Chris have a Ouija Board at all?
3. I also assumed it was the same crucifix and that the possessed Regan went back downstairs during the Kinderman investigation with Chris. Same crucifix that Karl placed under her pillow (although Karl comes across as innocent).

ParticipantYou’re welcome, dsea. Yep. You’re right on the pix.
Here’s another one and I can’t remember why the braces are in this one. There’s some small text and I don’t know which book this came from … probably one that I have tucked away somewhere. I can’t remember if Regan was wearing braces in the book and they had to be removed or not:

ParticipantHey JP … I haven’t had time to check it out. I have 4x’s zoom on my DVD player, so I’ll try to look for it. But, I image the image will be blurry when it’s zoomed in … guess we’ll have to wait for the Blu-Ray version. 🙂

ParticipantOMG columbian … let’s don’t even think that way … you’re putting ideas into the studio exec heads now! 🙂

Participantdsea, check out the Behind the Scenes stuff on CH. The “fangs” (these are the first set of transformation teeth that Dick Smith created with a sharp, jagged “canine-like” appearance) are in .jpg 33:

ParticipantThanks for sharing, colombian!

Participantdsea, I think Mike’s show is probably too old to be on this website, but … you get an A+++ for sharing this website! Way to go! 🙂
fatherbowdern
ParticipantRatBoy, can you give us more information? Their are a lot of experts on this film on this site …
fatherbowdern
ParticipantThanks, JP! I’ll look for this one, too. I think I read something about the planchette moving from one place in one scene and moving to them being shot at a totally different angle. This has driven me nuts because I don’t find it, but others swear they do.

ParticipantGreat ideas, Ryan!
