ParticipantFBowdern,
You make a valid point. There will always be a ‘tremendous amount of charlatans’, but to be fair, that’s in every profession. Such is life, unfortunately. It all comes down to a mixture of faith, naturally, and personal research. I’ve come across many cases of false possessions, but some (I believe) are the real deal.

ParticipantBowden,
Not sure about the signed copies. Might see if I have a spare copy… lol. As for submitting something, I’d love that. It all depends on sales of AMERICAN EXORCIST. If they are good, I’ll be doing a sequel…

ParticipantRyan,
The article by my good friend S.T. Joshi in THE MODERN WEIRD TALE is not at all positive. It’s interesting, but not necessary to read.

Well, in addition to my forthcoming book, you have BFI Modern Classics book by Kermode. There are a few others, but not much on LEGION sadly.

ParticipantHatter76,
To be honest, I didn’t enjoy it that much. It was interesting, but I believe it will only interest a minority.

ParticipantFriends,
I absolutely believe in possession. As a Christian, it exists in my worldview and I have done a great deal of study to reaffirm this.

I must confess: this is the book I am most proud of. I’ve published a lot, but this would have to be my favorite!

ParticipantFriends,
Let me be the first to say that, I hate the idea of an Exorcist remake. Unless Blatty supports and is directly involved with it (which could be interesting, I suppose, but the movie is truly perfect…) then I am against it and gladly added my name to the petition on this website. My hat goes of to Captain Howdy for supporting this move…

Participantgranville1,
Like this short article a great deal… could be used as a part of an essay one might want to write for my book…

ParticipantLunuso,
Perhaps you are right. I am re-reading The Exorcist as we speak and there are slight similarities. In saying that, Blatty is a far more interesting author than Levin…

ParticipantFriends,
No, I’d say the connection is weak. After all, Blatty once cited RB as a comical take on a serious theological issue and can’t imagine him being influenced.

ParticipantFriends,
There is no indication that Burke molested Regan. His reason for going into the room, may have been as simple as checking on her to see if she was sleeping or feeling better. Why must we make it worse? While I am sure feminist theorists would love to assume otherwise, as the old saying goes, to assume makes an ‘ass’ out of ‘u’ and ‘me’. I like your logic hench85 and appreciate that you have cleared the air regarding such an odd claim.
