ParticipantHow much did you end up having to pay? After a lot of hunting I eventually managed to find one on ebay for the massive sum of £1.55.
And yes, the old sickly green, gold and yellow hues are far better.May 1, 2006 at 11:59 PM #14300Tyler Durden
ParticipantI Have only seen TVYNS..I Know that I should be shot but the local video store only has that one..and I’m too lazy to go out and buy the original.

ParticipantThe original is to find.. for a good price, that is. It’s always on Amazon for $99 but luckily I got it for about $30.

ParticipantI would have to say that TVYNS is the best because it gives a better insight on the things that happend in the movie

ParticipantAlthough some things were changed for the better (sound wise) in TVYNS, I thought a lot of it sounded too fake (like the ‘slasher movie’ knife sound during the crucifix scene). There was also too much score.

ParticipantI think it’s good with a lot of score

ParticipantI gotta go with the original version. Alot of the subliminal sounds are gone in TVYNS.

ParticipantReally? i would have thought that they would have tryed to keep them all in.

ParticipantIt’s not in TVYNS. Bad job.

ParticipantI’ll have to watch the original before i say which one is better. The Next post on THIS thread from me will be me telling you’s which one I liked best because by that time I would have watched both not just TVYNS…..so goodbye for now fellow Exorcises.

ParticipantI posted about this specific sound sublim before (way back when the Captain Howdy site was just a baby) and I gotta admit it’s friggin spooky
The raspy breathing, obviously Reagans, that you hear when Lt. Kinderman is at the bottom of the steps looking at the little clay figure (just before entering the MacNeil residence). Jeez, listen carefully, that’s Reagan breathing.May 3, 2006 at 11:59 PM #14354Jason Stringer
KeymasterI watch the 25th Anniversary edition DVD (of the original film) more than any other.
