ParticipantIt's NOT as clear as that capture you uploaded!
October 15, 2012 at 5:13 AM #26342Justin
ParticipantWell the capture is directly from the DVD, and YouTube has compressed the video I uploaded.
You know, it would be a cool community project if we could compile all the dates and events that happened and create some sort of official production timeline!

ParticipantI know a lot of the make-up tests were done in the summer. When I said that “most of these tests were done in Sept., I was referring to the clips you see in the video. :p

ParticipantThis is how I'm doing it:Â
JU (or anyone else on here), could you please rip the trailer from the 25th anniversary DVD where you hear Linda's voice at the end saying, “Mother..make it stop!” It sounds like she's rehearsing that line.Â

ParticipantBD have posted part 2!

KeymasterI still can't decide if that's William Peter Blatty or not (in the blue shirt). Any thoughts?
This footage is remarkable to see. Like I said in my post, the extensive amount of engineering required to make these effects realistic is clearly evident and further goes to demonstrate that The Exorcist really was a ground-breaking horror film.

ParticipantHmm, I don't think it is Blatty even though it does look like him when he smiles, but there's something off when he gets closer to the camera and his hair is also different.
Â
It must have been a very surreal experience for little Linda sitting on the bed watching those dudes stumble about. I love that footage!

ParticipantThis is very interesting but….I'm glad they didn't use this effect too much in the movie. Â It becomes comical pretty quickly and isn't nearly as effective as the “tossing Reagan” effect we saw. Â That being said….THIS IS FRIGGIN AWESOME TO WATCH!!!!!!! Â A piece of history that hasn't been seen in 40 years!!!
