ParticipantYou lost me at Renny Harlin directing. I hope you’re not serious.

ParticipantJust because you don’t like his films, that doesn’t make Harlin a bad
director. Name one thing that is wrong with him? He had a wonderful
visual palette.December 15, 2007 at 11:59 PM #19725hatter76
ParticipantI Think Harlin Does Have Talent, I just Don’t think He was right for an Exorcist Film(or certain aspects).
He did bring a fantastic visual sense to the Film, Also Atmosphere.
I think Part of What his version suffers from is the fact that It hade to Reuse many of the same sets, costumes, Actors,Etc.
He also had to get it done quickly.
So I He didn’t really enough control, He should have been able to reinvision thinks in every way he saw fit.Im not saying I would want him to do another one.
What Im saying is that Harlin Got the Short End, as Far as creativity goes.
Schrader of Course Didn’t get to Properly Complete Post Production.December 15, 2007 at 11:59 PM #19726Scrupulous Conscience
ParticipantHarlin is a better film maker than Schader. People hate Harlin’s script, but they don’t look at his mood or his style, or his shots. Schrader’s film had a better script but he filmed it so bland and flat and boring.

ParticipantNow can we get back to the original topic, the Ultimate Exorcist?

ParticipantI am taking a page from Marvel comics and suggesting a revamp the way they did with Spiderman and the Avengers and suggesting a new film called Ultimate Exorcist. It would be the story of Father Morning from Exorcist 3 and would be a prequel, but would bring together all the cast members and creative forces of the whole series to make the Ultimate film.
Directed by Renny Harlin
Produced by William Peter Blatty, William Friedkin and John Boorman
Written by William Peter Blatty
Conceptual Design by John Boorman
Historical Research by Caleb Carr
Score by Christopher Young
With radio singles by Billy Crawford and Dog Fashioned DiscoStarring Nicol Williamson as Father Morning
Stellan Skaarsgarde as MerrinWhat do you guys think?

ParticipantSounds like it could work. Who else would star in it? Could you give us a cast list or something?
I actually like Dominion, cause its a lot easier to understand pasing wise, and a lot more suspense.
Tiing all 5 films together sounds like it would be really good.
