After making a name for himself on “Columbo” & other episodic mystery series, “NYPD Blue” creator Steven Bochco did a very fine pilot movie for a series which never made it to the ABC schedule in 1979-80. Charactor actor Richard Lynch had a ball playing the “Dracula”-esque villain pursed by our hero; Jason Miller. As tv movies in the 70s went, this was easily on par with “Duel”, “The Night Stalker” & “Trilogy of Terror” but seems to be largely forgotten & in need of rediscovery.
