granville1 like usual you have out done yourself!! your story is really really F-N-T-A-S-T-I-C!!! you could easily be writing books such as these! do you think mr blatty might have a sequel of some sorts to legion? It doesnt necessarly have to be a feature film right?

Pazrags, again, thank you for your kindly comments. I would LOVE to see Blatty do another Exorcist novel, whether it’s a Legion sequel or something else in the Exorcist tradition. We would then have an Exorcist Trilogy straight from the Master. Depends, I suppose, if Blatty thinks he has exhausted the subject. But his characters and plots and humor are so rich, one would hope that he has at least one more Exorcist novel to give us.

Blatty’s ELSEWHERE novella (found in the 999 anthology) may be the closest we’ll get to a sequel; it features some priests in cameos, though neither are Karras or Merrin, and they’re fairly inconsequential to the rest of the story if memory serves.

But apparently there’s something called Demeter, a confirmed (I think) sequel, which he’d been working on for years. Anyone know what happened to that?

No, I only heard that Demeter was perhaps being planned – just the rumor, nothing else…

Does someone have an opinion what a good sequel to legion would be? That follows in Mr. Blattys tone and feel of the 2 sequels? any ideas or opinions of a good story?
