Laura Betti is a terrific Italian character actress who enjoyed a long career in film & is remembered mostly for genre titles like “Hatchet For the Honeymoon” & “Twitch of the Death Nerve”. She had a distinctive tone to her voice which deepened over the years so that when dubbing “The Exorcist” for the Italian speaking community she was a natural to voice the part so successfully performed by Mercedes McCambridge; The Devil. But, I've never heard the Italian version and wondered how it compared, or, for that matter; how any of the other acters fared in dubbing that difficult, all-important role. My understanding is there are many interpretations for various overseas markets.
