I have zero skills in “photoshopping” or manipulating ‘puter images. I only have a barbarian’s grasp of PaintShopPro. I mention this cuz:

Recently, when we were discussing lost Legion footage, there was some talk about the scene of the two coroners flanking Karras’s corpse. The screenplay says that William Kinderman is waiting outside, then comes in briefly to “say goodbye” to Karras.

Presumably, if this scene was fully filmed, George C. Scott would have been Kinderman. For continuity’s sake, I would imagine that he – like the pictured dead Karras – would be wearing the same/similar clothing that the actors wore in the original film. Lee J. Cobb’s Kinderman was wearing the trenchcoat, hat, and of course, had the moustache.

In a feeble “what if” attempt, I clumsily tried to put a moustache on Scott on a still from Legion. In this abortive effort, there did seem to be a surprising resemblance between Scott and Cobb. (The ‘stache was way too thick and I don’t know of any way of refining or shrinking it.) I realize this is being rather literal – even if Scott appeared in this scene _without_ a moustache, audiences would still “get” it. But I’m just obsessively trying to make the continuity as literal as possible.

So I was wondering if some adventurous fan here at Howdy would want to try putting a moustache and hat on Scott, just to see how much, if at all, he might resemble Cobb. I know this type of thing was done right here with Skarsgaard – e.g., melding his face with Von Sydow’s, and capping it off with Merrin’s hat. (I appreciate that artwork and apologize to the regular fan here who composed it for not remembering your name!)

So, if anyone would like to try, I for one would love to see the results!

The black and white one is damn near.

Wow! Thanks very much, Ryan! I love it! And I can see a resemblance… thanks for the time and effort.
