ParticipantPurchase this DVD as soon as possible, please. 🙂
Also, I really adore this quote from the novel. I just added it to my MySpace page:
“Every man who has ever lived has been filled with desire for perfect happiness. But unless there is an afterlife, fulfillment of this desire is impossible. Perfect happiness, in order to be perfect, must carry with it the assurance that the happiness won’t cease; that it will not be snatched away. But no one has ever had such assurance; the mere fact of death serves to contradict it. Yet why should Nature implant in everyone a desire for something unattainable? I can think of no more than two answers: either Nature is consistently mad and perverse; or after this life there’s another, a life where this universal desire for perfect happiness can be fulfilled. But nowhere else in creation does Nature exhibit this kind of perversity; not when it comes to a basic drive. An eye is always for seeing and an ear is always for hearing. And any universal craving – I mean a craving without exceptions – has to be capable of fulfillment. It can’t be fulfilled here, so it’s fulfilled, I think, somewhere else; sometime else.”

ParticipantI added some info here about what Blatty intended on doing with Elsewhere, as a film, and his brief mention of “Dimiter” here:

Hit refresh.
I wonder what happened to “Dimiter”…?

ParticipantA musical comedy from blatty? I can’t wait for that! Have you seen A Shot in the Dark? It’s hysterical 😀 Imo, the best Pink Panther movie of the series. I think it’s amazing you have contact with his wife… What a great way to find out what he has in store for us loyal fans!

ParticipantSay, Justy, can you tell me how to get watermarks off? I found some nice Christopher Lee pics but they’re horribly marred by ebay. 🙁 Do you have a program for it, or just tons of patients? 😉

ParticipantI’m presently bidding on 4 Legion items, including a set of those French lobby cards we need watermarks removed from. If I win them, I’ll scan them and upload them all, nice and clean!
I also have more correspondences to add for Legion after re-watching the film, including trying to get to the bottom of the red rose that is prevalent throughout.

ParticipantGood luck! Yay, more correspondences 🙂

Participant“Original Legion Footage Lost” pointing to a thread Justin made saying James G. Robinson (from Morgan Creek; responsible for it) needs a good slappin’.
I replied to it with:
Yes. Appalling resume, turned what could have been an utter masterpiece (Legion) into a chopped-up mess (The Exorcist III) and made the same mistake again, TWICE, with the two Exorcist prequels.
How does someone this fat and ignorant get into the position of a film producer?

ParticipantHaha, how true 🙂
