Hello. I am going to make another attempt to make Exorcist 2 adleast a half-decent film. My question to you is, if you could cut out FIVE major things of the film, what would they be? I remind you that it is impossible to delete the synchronizer. Actually, that is not that bad, what IS BAD is the James Earl Jones scenes. Most of Lamont in Africa is garbage

Gosh, THE HERETIC makes Sharon look 10 years older (15-20?), at least. Truly heretical, vandalyzing such beauty as Kitty W, IF…I may be so bold. 🙁

I do LOATH the close ups of the locust. Actually the entire second synch bit could be cut out. Then there would be no reason for Lamont to go to Africa. BUT, then that means the film would be signifficantly (sp?) shorter! What to do, what to do?

Um… The locust flying directly in front of the camera. The super close ups. I didn’t like that. If you cut JEJ, is it possible to keep the bit about locusts eating each other? It’s creepy; even if it doesn’t have much to do with the story. Sharon’s death… I don’t think it should be cut… redone entirely, if I had my way. It’s warped. In the exorcist, Sharon was a normal, nice woman. She’d been, imo, perverted in the heretic.

A few years ago I did take Merrin’s Africa scenes and turned it into a prolouge for the first film, it was decent for the time, Id love to show that off, but I lost it along with alot of other work, when my other computer, litteraly blew up on the inside, turned out the fan that cools it off didn’t work, damn thing overheated.

I wouldn’t mind trying that again.

Good call, Ryan. 🙂 And heck, maybe THAT footage could be added into a fancut of one of the other series’ films — or dare I say THE ORIGINAL — divorcing it from Boorman’s handiwork. 😉

Have a close up of Regan’s cleavage, followed by a super-slow-motion clip of Kokumo spitting the red ball. I think you all know where I’m going with this…
