The tennis courts and running track were allegedly shot at Fordham University in New York. I took a look myself but even there I couldn’t find an exact match. However with near 40 years having passed it’s probable the sports facilities may well have changed significantly.
A most likely assumption … look at how ugly the The Exorcist house is today by comparison to what was built. It looks like a boxed-in mental home surround by a ghastly black fence.

One thing about all this virtual wandering I’ve done. I have fallen in love with Georgetown itself. It is rather beautiful, something the film didn’t really convey. I wouldn’t mind living there.
I know we would have gotten a better idea of the D.C. area had the sight-seeing tour that Chris and Regan took was in the film. I’ve been many times, and the best seasons there are spring and autumm. Of course, I know WB execs wanted to cut the film down to a more a “reasonable two hours.” Ya know, let’s fill the seats in the theater for this little horror movie. OOPS! Home run!
