ParticipantThey hyped it like it was going to be the whole show, but so far it was only the first 10 minutes 😛 Footage of his group exorcisms were creepy if not convincing. Rev. Bob Larson claims that people started coming to him, asking to pray with him, would change and tell him to leave them alone, he’s ours etc. He says he has been attacked by the possessed and had a rib broken. The way he smacked the people with his book, I’m not surprised. Dr. Phil asked him who trained him as an exorcist he answered God, time and experience. Not as convincing as some audio clips I’ve heard on the internet 🙁 … Oh well, it was interesting anyway 😉

ParticipantIt’s always struck me that Bob Larson and other of his fundamentalist brethren wouldn’t know a real possession if it swam up and bit them in the brain. They don’t seem to be operating from the nuanced, responsible position laid out in the Roman Ritual. For them, just about anything negative – from drinking to cursing to bad habits – can be ascribed to “Satan”. If Larson wants to prove a case for possession, he’d better provide serious, scientifically verified paranormal events (the kind of things Karras was trying to find in the MacNeal case).

ParticipantIf you were lucky enough the catch Penn and Teller’s Bullshit program on Showtime, they showed this “exorcist” to an asshole making money for the last 30 years off of the religious zealots compelled to believe what he told them … loser!

ParticipantBob Larson is scum who has used this whole “exorcism” thing to get himself lots O dough……
In the real world, nobody would have made it past Karras. The only exorcisms that I have read about that might have were a very long time ago with no way to verify what did or didn’t happen…

ParticipantBingo etrigan on Larson. If you want to see a “true devil” writhing in his chair, check out Larson’s reactions to questions about his income:

Oh, and it’s amazing that he can’t remember if he was (or is!) a millionaire!

Oh, and it’s amazing that he can’t remember if he was (or is!) a millionaire! Also, it’s nice to know that he thinks that 50% of population is possessed … what a scam! Loser!

ParticipantDr. Phil is having a guy on tomorrow talking about exorcisms and, he (the “exorcist”) thinks Anna Nicole Smith was possessed by the Devil… This should be interesting 😉
